Basketball season.

Watched the game vs Iowa State as well as North Al. Does not appear that this team is jelling very well. Hopefully things will get better, few bright spots but lots of turnovers.
Well, he is a Jew, born in Ma., went to school at Michigan. What has he to do with the state of Ms?
45 years in the investment biz, when a resume came across my desk with a cfa designation, I usually threw it in the trash………

Expecting a really solid game, Ga. For the win, but ever so hopeful they don’t. If State wins, watch out goal posts……

He has made some awful gambling calls that are not, imho, poor decisions. He made one in the ark. Game that he should not have, but he got lucky as it worked…..I do think he should get a third year as the team now show’s some very good promise. I’ve been a state fan for so long, Father went there, and I am way past being a spring chicken myself, so the years of sorrow on the football field are usually expected. We seem to do ok in BB and Baseball, FB is our Achilles heel.

Sounds like you were watching from an endzone perspective. It was actually a hell of a punt and went over Niblett’s head; he probably had to run 10-15 yards backwards to field it. And this was really the issue, that the kick was so good that it overstretched MSU’s return coverage. But yeah, out of bounds would’ve been better.

True, I just rewatched the punt, however, but four guys barely missed the tackle, getting just a piece of him.

Arkansas wins easily I have zero faith in this team to win

I disagree in the team not winning. It’s the guy calling plays. Will be watching for Boner calls that either lose the game almost. We should win, almost wish for a loss just to put more pressure on chubby……..

You don’t go for it on 4&1 on the wrong side of the field, that gambling when you do not need to. You don’t punt to an all star punt returner with with a minute to play and up by a td. Running the qb sweep with the sub qb, when all he ever runs is the sweep, is not smart play calling. Played like wimps on offense second half and defense quit the pressure like the first half. It appears that Libby has built a gem that can compete, but his dumb calls have cost at least two game, Tx and Fl. (Assuming the kick , never taken, would have been good. I watched the game with my State wife and several times, after I made a comment about what should take place, and did not, she said maybe you should the plays. On one, punt it out of bounds, not to that guy. TD. One other, I said, “no, not on 4 & I on the wrong side of the 50”. TD.
Libby should work. out with the team. :rotflmao:
I would not be upset if he came to State, though that’s a 10,000 to 1 chance….
Naw, maybe lebby will find a way to make another rotten play call……like going for it on the wide side of midfield on a 4 and two, not making it is a given. Happy to eat crow if wrong……

Agreed. At worst, run and kick. At best, kick it. Not like we don’t have a good kicker for the first time in years…….use him. This loss is all on lebby………

Boned headed decision not to kick a field goal or at the very least run the ball with a quick snap. He has made more than a few questionable decisions in my opinion. Secondly, it seems the only way we get down the fields is one long pass, where’s the rest of the play. Hope he pans out, but he needs to think better when to toss a win away like he did with Fl.

Fine. But State should be ranked ahead of ND. State has 4 wins, ND only 3. State has a tough SOS, ND doesn’t. And most importantly State has a bona fide win over a ranked team; ND isn’t even close. Total travesty that ND at 3-2 is ranked ahead of teams like 5-1 Vandy and 4-2 State, and many others. If ND can win against Navy, which is about the only other decent team on its schedule, then we can talk. Until then, ranking ND is just hopeful betting on the come. ETA: I forgot that ND also has USC on its schedule. But I want to see a win against USC and/or Navy before giving any respect to ND.

Don’t care about ND, wasn’t a thing to do with what I said.
Where are those that kept saying that State should be ranked? Always knew that a few votes after one win was in vain. With the upcoming schedule, another win is tough. Two, well, a miracle.

Rank State you cowards.

State, unless they get a big upset real soon, is at its highest rating this year.
I’m no fan of the Notre Dame, but they did lose to 2 top ten teams by a total of four points. Could very well be 2-0.
That will all change big time once the true cannibalization begins in earnest.
Yep, all scores on three big TD passes. Line still needs improvement. Solid team, minor bowl game at best. Hope I am wrong and season is much better, schedule is tough, very tough.
