Sure, it's good, all BBQ is good, but id much rather have pulled pork, pork ribs, or even smoked chicken. If I just have to have beef, beef short ribs taste better and are way faster to cook. Santa Maria style tri-tip is also better than brisket

Do you like cow head? Nothing like cow cheek tacos.

Do they sell any of that at Buc-ee's?
Sure, pulled pork, but I ain't never seen no Beaver tri-tip.
Get outta here with your nonsense.

I like it all. Pork, chicken, beef....Zero fricks given. Good BBQ is good BBQ.
Western Kentucky does BBQ mutton. Even that shite is delicious.

Beef ribs > brisket > everything else
Honorable mention to burnt ends, which are like literal crack.

Of course it is. It's a cheap cut, that's why you have to cook it so long.

if its brisket with chunks of fat that, im with you, but a well cut brisket that has excess fat removed is budda.

I think what you are trying to say is that Texas brisket is the tits.
But unfortunately most people outside the state don’t know how to cook it.
So I agree with you.

Beef isn't BBQ. If it's not pork its not BBQ.

Best smoked meats, in descending order:
1. Beef Ribs
2. Brisket
3. Pork ribs
4. Pork butt or chicken or turkey (all tied for fourth)
I've never messed with any of the California cuts.

Beg to differ. A brisket that has the right amount of fat and is smoked properly is the bomb!

Brisket is amazing if cooked right. Follow Aaron Franklin's recipe and you won't regret it. It's the only BBQ that Texas can actually do right.

If you ever eat at Louis Mueller's in Taylor Texas you will change your mind. I guarantee it.
There are very few people who know how to 1) Select the right meat, 2) Trim it properly, 3) Season it properly, and most importantly 4) Smoke it properly over an 8-12 hour period.
When you do all of these things right consistently, you get written up in magazines.

Not if it’s smoked correctly. I have had smoked brisket from “award winning” brisket restaurants that tasted like dry cardboard. Not many people excel at it. But if it’s done correctly, which most can’t do, then its underrated.

Beef should be roasted or braised, not BBQ’d. Facts. I don’t like roast beef with bbq sauce.

If the cook doesn't have a proper pit and know wtf they're doing, brisket is a waste of time. Done right and there is nothing better..except possibly beef ribs also done right. I like pulled pork as much as anyone, but you gotta admit it's pretty pedestrian next to an expertly done brisket or beef rib.
