I think I'll miss Mizzu most.
I wanted to hang em out to dry next year in KTown.
Score another touchdown with seconds left just to kick em in the gut.

LSU. Great series that will be missed.
First trip to Baton Rouge was the earthquake game, 1988.
Never had a bad fan experience there and have fond memories.

None. We play all the better teams and as soon as ESPN ponies up, we'll be playing 9 conference games and we'll be seeing everyone every few years.
College football is about the survival of the fittest and getting to the playoffs. Frankly, I don't care about what's historical anymore.

Tennessee, Florida, Georgia.
It felt like we got fricked with scheduling. We lost all our "rivals" off the schedule.

UGA. I don’t care if they beat us 85% of the time. It’s a natural game, geographically close, and was played for decades before we joined the SEC. In fact, that matchup has been played more than a lot of other more notable SEC rivalries.
Us keeping Kentucky instead of Carolina is stupid

Will miss the Auburn game the most. But it will also feel weird that LSU isn't playing Mississippi State.
First time LSU and State won't play in a season since 1943.

Georgia - it's a more overlapping series in everyday life in SC - from the CSRA through the Midlands and Lowcountry SC & Lowcountry GA -
Carolina & Georgia first met in 1894 -
the border feud has been played yearly since 1958 except for 5 seasons - 1965 - 1972 - 1973 and oddly 1990 & 1991 - before resuming in SEC play in 1992 -
Columbia & Athens are roughly 134 miles apart as the crow flies - 155 miles if you drive from Cola to Athens through Calhoun Falls/Elberton passing over the lake from SC into GA - a much more enjoyable ride over than the freeways -
Tennessee & Florida will also be missed - strange -

Mrs ClusterCock and I were there. She is a Texas A&M grad.
This was the opening game of the season - hotter than Hell August in Columbia. Johnny Manziel had left for the NFL and Kenny ""the thrill" Hill was starting his first game for A&M.
Hill broke Manziel's single-game passing record with 511 yards, and No. 21 A&M beat No. 9 Carolina 52-28. Broke our 18 game home winning streak. 3 games later, Hill is benched.

handa down it'd be LSU.... LSU vs Auburn every September had become fun & a good barometer for how our season might go... one of the hardest hitting games I've ever seen was the 7 - 3 game in Sept 2006. damn game was a defensive knockdown slugfest with folks being carted off everafukkinwhere.. neither team wanted to give an inch - much less a first down.
both teams were ranked in the top10...
the defenses were playing for keeps - LSU had not given up a touchdown since the previous year's SEC championship. (16qtrs)
we scored on a QB sneak w/Brandon Cox
Tubs after the game..
ESPN game recap
LSU every September had become the game i looked forward to every year during the off season.. definitely be weird this year without one

the stats, everybody would think it was a boring game but there was
a lot of excitement."

I figured with all the talk about it, this game WOULD have been scheduled for 2024.

LSU has played Mississippi State every year since 1902 except 3/4 war years. Not playing them will feel bizarre.

While Mizzou and South Carolina is not a traditional rivalry those games have been pretty great minus the last couple of years. So hey at least you still get that game

I'll miss the UT/MZ game because MZ was just starting to dominate.

I think 2024 was the year, but then the SEC expanded again and all schedules went into the crapper.

Bama not being on the schedule feels wrong. But we let the tribe dictate what our conference looks like.

Real answer: None, nada, zero
The only conference opponent we must play every year due to tradition is joining with us.

Auburn
State-Auburn is almost always a good exciting game

None of them. A&M doesn't belong in this conference anyway.

36-7, and it wasn't even that close. THAT is a kick in the gut.
