Thanks gryphon well said.
And its how you spend in that budget. Back when the kids accepted, lets say Coleman and Thompson were offered 10 bucks, similar ranking at the time so fair (you know they talked). Williams we offer 15, they would be cool with that, at the time they are ranked below him. Then you get bama being all emotional because they have lost a few to us, and they lose Saban, and their key recruit is wavering so they offer 25.
Even if the boosters offered a one off, I bet you Freeze said no because its not just the two aforementioned receivers, but the total roster's NIL would be flipped on its head and you would have 50 guys wanting double, or all entering the portal after the season. Besides the fact they would think you had more juice all along and screwed them, which would do wonders for the locker room for the season you did have them.
Never ever let emotions get involved in the business, and always have a walking away price and stick to it, cause you know a "generational talent" happens about three times a year given how that phrase is overused

Good morning. Apologies for no response yesterday Jones. Very limited service where I am at.
I was told the deal is done. Old guards wanted to stay with UA. Bruce and Hugh pushed hard for NIKE. Cohen wanted Adidas.

I think that is what State is. He must be comfortable with them.

Adidas is quite a large company outside the US, nowhere near the size of Nike, but Id bet they would pay quite the premium to get a property like Auburn.
Sidenote, being an Alabama country boy I had no idea how that company was pronounced until I moved outside the states its ahhdeedhas not adedus. Founded by two brothers who got in a tif, one is now Adidas the other Puma.
Adidas is notorious for kcikbacks. Some years ago it was quite the stir when FIFA (think soccer version of NFL) received a huge check from them and didnt know where to apply it, turns out they cut the check to the league instead of the person taking the bribe.
Sorry for the digress, its a dead period.

Adidas quality in their gear is very good. I just absolutely cannot stand their design department.

Which deal is better for getting recruits overall? Also our equipment quality is terrible according to just about everyone. I would accept Adidas just so our athletes can have decent cleats and it would be a game changer in basketball. The old guard needs to come to this century with uniforms and what the fanbase seems to be exited about. Nike and even Adidas are superior to under armor

I’m good with literally anyone other than UA

Fair. But for me to try to say hey to him and check on how he was doing and him to pull the whole "I don't know who you are" is just bullshite. He knows who I am.

You're one of my favorite posters here Jang so I edited my comments out of respect of your opinion. I was pissed and probably should not have said anything. BUT what I did say and hopefully you saw is true, I just shouldn't have posted in irritation.
