these semantics arguments are hilarious. no one cares what you personally consider "blue blood" and no one cares what I believe.

I do believe, however, that this Auburn basketball team will throttle yours, if it hasn't already.

Hope everyone has a great week

Indeed

quote:

Neville is the best arena in college basketball

Very questionable (and even as a homer I don't think it's true)

quote:

Auburn is a blue blood

As we know, a running joke

quote:

for the last few years it has been one of the best environments and toughest places for opponents to play in the country.

A verifiable fact and likely acknowledged by most CBB media and most reasonable opposing fans on this board and elsewhere

NCAA Tournament Wins since 2018:

15- Gonzaga
13- Villanova
12- Houston, Michigan
11- Duke, Texas Tech
8- N Carolina, Baylor, Michigan St, UCLA, Arkansas
7- Auburn, Kansas, Miami
6- UConn, Virginia, Kentucky, Tennessee
5- San Diego St, Alabama
4- Florida Atl

I looked at all teams who have been to a Final 4 plus other SEC teams since only Auburn has been to the Final 4 from the league during the time period.

Obviously Auburn is not a blue blood… not even really elite for the past six seasons considering we are tied for 12th with two other teams.

However, we’re playing good basketball these days and if it continues for several more years and we can make another deep tournament run or two, we have a chance to be considered a new money elite program with the likes of Gonzaga etc which is very respectable.

Pearl a little salty about Auburn fans calling themselves a blue blood:

quote:

"I think it's time for our fans to stop calling us a blue blood. Frankly, they sound like idiots. We played a real one tonight and got dominated for 40 minutes. We'll never be close to the program they are

I wasnt impressed by Thompson-Boling. Its massive for sure but dont think bigger is better in hoops.

This is what people with small arenas say. TBA is impressive IMO and has a lot in common with the Dean Dome.

I guess I was confused by "Best College Basketball Arena". To me, that means the actual facility which LSU definetely does not have. Now, had you said "Toughest College Basketball Arena to visit", you probably still wouldn't have an argument.

Losing 3 games in THE JUNGLE last year doesn't seem very good to me.

Well, we only lost 2 games at home last year, so there's that whole accuracy thing...

And my friend that is why they actually play the games on the court and not on paper or on websites. But one thing you did get right was the arse kicking.
