This is definitely the most painful one yet. I like the kid from Washington that committed yesterday, at least. Hope this dude heads to the Big 10 or Big 12 or something, but moving now makes me think it's an SEC team.

That probably explains the Austin Mack move

I’m pretty much immune to transfers at this point. Just ride it out and go from there. We are finding out who wanted to play for Alabama and who just wanted to play for Saban.

In the words of John Paul Jones, "I have not yet begun to melt!"

This tells me he is not interested in competing for a spot with the Udub transfer. I think his NIL money per the crootin sight was around 875K.

He is fro Ca. so I assume he will stay close to home now

Remember the days when a kid would decommit or transfer and it would only be for like 1 or 2 reasons?

Now you can just spin a wheel with 15 reasons

Yeah, pulling in Mack pretty much signaled this. Hate it, but we have QBs.

As of now, we have 77 on roster. Sky is still firmly set above.

We should consider hiring Gregg Williams to coach the OLBs and set up a bounty system for when we play all these guys....just kidding. Kind of.

That sucks but whatever. Bama will just have to play with the guys who want to be there. Hopefully DeBoer and his staff can get the most out of who we have.

I was not concerned with losing Sayin, because I thought DeBoer and Grubb's reputation would entice any quarterback. I became concerned when Mack was brought in.

This is probably the most indefensible loss for the new staff to this point. Bond was in the portal before DeBoer was announced, Robinson was already looking elsewhere, we knew Downs was upset with his coaches leaving, and there had been news about Proctor wanting to be closer to home for some time. No great excuse here really.

We all knew this was coming. Im fine with it. The kid is a freshman, more of these "cant miss" QBs bust than make it and Deboer brought in a guy he already knows can play. If the kid was the real deal, hed welcome the challenge, considering this is probably the most QB friendly offense at an elite program now.

Sucks to lose him. But still plenty to work with on the roster. Can’t really miss something you never had. Dude was here for what, a month?

Knew this one was coming. He was directly recruited by Saban. The man was in Sayin's living room a month ago for a photo before he signed.

Stop melting, these high 4/5 star guys who came to Bama because of Saban are going to transfer en masse because they can get a bigger bag somewhere else, and Saban isn't here anymore.

Replace them with people who want to be here.
