We should all be extremely proud of this team. I think most of us felt a repeat of the UGA game early but I couldn’t be more impresssed by their resilience.
A wake-up call that this team is good but not elite at the moment. Hopefully a good learning experience that will pay off in March.
He is trashing the program that made him for his own personal advancement. He should not be allowed back at BDS and if he is I hope the fans boo him loudly. He’s earned it.

Audience capture seems likely. Mark has never been a particularly smart guy but I always believed he was a loyal one. I was wrong. Urban Meyer schooled him.

The fanbase should not tolerate the disrespect and disloyalty shown by Damien and Mark. I've lost all respect for both of them and hope they aren't around the program at all moving forward.
Former players have a responsibility to be good ambassadors for the university. If they discard us, we should discard them. Loyalty is a two way street. Mark Ingram and Damien Harris showed their true colors and should not be welcomed around the program going forward.
Mark also wasn't the best back on any team he played on either.
Mark threw the program under the bus right next to URBAN MEYER who was arguing for our inclusion. If we go on a run, I don't want to see Mark or Damien jump back on the bandwagon. They can get lost.

He stood up for the program today while Damien Harris and Mark Ingram threw us under the bus. As much crap as GMAC gets he deserves a lot of credit. Mark is known as a hardcore Gump but he betrayed the program yesterday and it's going to be hard to forget. UA should keep Damien and Mark at arms length going forward.
Damien and Mark Ingram should not be welcome back at our facilities any time soon. UA needs to take a hard line against former players who throw the university under the bus for applause from their TV colleagues.

After two years...

I've seen enough to say CKD is not going to be able to build a national championship level program here. We are basically back to where we were after the FSU game. Back to back years this team has regressed late in the season. CKD is a good coach but not a great one. His reputation was built on wins against elite coaches but Kirby Smart ended that tonight. The SEC has figured him out. I'm not saying we should fire DeBoer. We won't and we shouldn't at this point but we've seen enough data points to know he was not the right hire. Tonight was an embarrassment and an indictment on the type of program CKD runs.
I don’t think anyone reasonable will want him gone if we lose that game but an Iron Bowl win is also necessary to justify a contract extension at this point. 9-3 seasons shouldn’t get you raises at Alabama.

The goal is to get to the playoffs. We still have a chance at that.

I agree with this. However, if we lose to Auburn. CKD will be 0/2 in that regard. Three strikes and you're out. This is the most important Iron Bowl since 2013.

I still believe in this team

I gave up on CKD and this program after the FSU disaster. I won't do the same thing today. I think this team is still good enough to win it all. Have to win at Jordan-Hare. Lose that and it will be the most toxic off-season we've had around here in awhile. The Auburn game is the biggest game of CKD's tenure. If we win, today's game doesn't matter much. If we lose, it's the beginning of the end.
Obviously want to win but I can’t be the only one who cares less about the outcome of the game now that Wrightsell’s back.

Cheers to Kalen DeBoer

I’ve been as critical as anyone on the board. But he’s out coached Kirby in back to back years. He had a great gamplan tonight. Still a long way to go this season but I’m tremendously impressed by how he’s gotten the team to rebound since FSU disaster. He deserves a lot of credit.
The money figure in question is not $70 million. It's $10 million. That's how much CKD's buyout declines next year. The power players will have to figure out is if it's worth $10 million to keep the wrong coach for an extra season.

Two mediocre baseball hires and what appears to be a disastrous football hire. I'd still give him one more chance because of CNO and his track record at previous jobs, but it hasn't been great.

Rewatched some of the game yesterday and his effort on several key plays was unacceptable. If I were CKD, no way would I let him play Saturday. For all the money I'm sure we're paying him, that was pathetic. Bench him.

The question is if it's worth waiting until after next season to pay $59 million? We know now that CKD is not the right coach for this program. Is it really worth another $10 million to wait around for another year? It's not my money but what must be done eventually should be done immediately. Kalen DeBoer is going to get fired sooner than later. It's probably better to just do it sooner rather than later.
