Unless their name is Kiffin. He would stay forever. He's not going back to the nfl.
Im beside myself that everyone cant see that Kiffin is the safest hire available. He would have us in a top 12 playoff for the next 20 years.

Thamel, Cowhurd. They're all running with it.
This has turned into a bidding war for DeBoer.

I would think that T Rob will be held over on the new staff. That would hopefully help keep a lot of our players, and not that it is near the most important aspect right now, but he is Ryan Williams’ main recruiter.

What?! He had penix, a great wr corp, and rb that will most likely be drafted in the NFL. To say there was some huge gap is ridiculous.
Even if he had equal talent, going 2-0 against Sark is exceptional 3-0 against Lanning is pretty good but that says more about Lanning than Deboer.

Well Saturday afternoon @ 3 is the deadline Greg gave the players. If a player goes portal before that he apparently just wants to leave regardless.
I don't think he was happy with the offense. But the players can also enter the portal and start seeing what their options might be so they can make a quick decision when a coach is hired.

Why would Schumann leave Kirby and UGA to be the DC for DeBoer?
Only, and only, because being sole DC at Bama is better and much more challenging than being co-DC at Uga with Will Musschamp as the other co-DC. It would mean much more recognition for Schumann and bring him into HC consideration sooner. But I'm not saying it is likely. It probably would have been more likely with Lanning as our next HC.

The other criteria is having guys who want to leave their current jobs for this one. There’s only a handful of guys that fit your criteria and pretty much all of them already have big jobs
Pretty much…

He would’ve already accepted and the fanbase would be energized….but we won’t do it because a few boosters will get their feelings hurt.

Washington won’t outbid Bama for the coach they want. Period. If it’s all in on him, Bama will get him. Sexton doing his work.

I personally think you're just trying to drive up website traffic by pretending to be retarded.

It's baffling to me, as well. Literally the easiest hire ever and were fumbling it. Kiffin would kill it at Bama.

Having to put up with the potential for kids to leave at any minute is a reason why Coach left the pros. People leave for money or the potential for more money or other things there - and now it happens here too. There is no loyalty - heck even from some players that played for Saban. Humphrey the other day say he’d be hitting the transfer portal if Saban wasn’t there anymore?
In days past, you had some type of way to get kids in and be a long-term influence - a teacher, a motivator, etc.
It’s just not there any more. And it has to be exhausting and stressful for coaches and those who handle these things. Never mind a 72 year-old coach. I think some of what Prime said was accurate - regardless of what Saban has said since then.
It is what it is.

The difference being that in this case, the names that fit your criteria are high profile and known (as opposed to those you interview for work).
So, why don't you give us the name(s) that you think fit your criteria?
Can you not read my reply that you literally quoted?

Evidently he pissed off the wrong people before he left.

Guys, Byrne might just not be up for this. This is not Arizona. If he doesn’t stop the bleeding by the end of the weekend, it’s time to get a new AD.
