Maybe. Maybe not. First month will determine the level of support or angst. Anybody that comes in and retains the bulk of the roster will have the full backing of the fans. That’s step one

You lose a Downs, Sayin, Haynes, Campbell to the portal and the pitchforks will be out

Well actions have consequences, even for the Lane Kiffin's of the world. Hes lucky to have the job he does. Hed probably be Bama's coach right now if not for his own stupidity

To have an old boss instead of a young boss? I think most people wouldn't care as long as they are gettinh paid and/or want the opportunity.

However I think you are misinterpreting what I was saying. When people were posting thirds about Saban's successor, I always thought he would be an option.

But with Lanning and Sark off the board it leaves us with DeBoer or bust for a Tier 1 coach

No, Kiffin is still available, and is probably somewhere halfway through an 8ball hitting f5 like the rest of us wanting the job. If Byrne lets outside pressure push him away from Kiffin and we end up with a limp dick hire he should be FIRED immediately.

(maybe, maybe, maybe Norvell, but I'm not sold).

Norvell is a fraud. He looks defeated. He would get annihilated in the SEC. He and his team quitting was the most embarrassing thing I've witnessed from an entire program in a long long while

I would much rather have Schumann

I'll take Dabo over Schumann for fricks sake, were not hiring Kirby water boy to be the next HC of the Crimson Tide

Rees

Guys, you know I dont use my moderator powers very often (like basically never), but the next person that seriously suggest Rees in a non jokingly way I will suspend their posting privileges for 24 hours.

If we strike out on Debeor, I hope we go Kleinman or Leipold

God I'm glad fans like you have zero say in this hire.

Both of those are really good at what they do.

He went to Georgia tech. No surprise that he's a nerd. And I say that as the son of a GT grad

Most people hate that Chubby son of gun but I like him. He is a NFL, Northeast guy at one of the premier franchises in history so he ain't even thinking about Bama.

I feel like all of these coaches are in the great X&O's but can they recruit category.

DeBoer, Leipold, Klieman

We're gonna lose players regardless.
And even if players don't leave, it really doesn't mean much because all that really matters is are wins and losses.

If there is pressure keeping Byrne away from hiring Kiffin it damn sure isn’t coming from the outside.

There's some rumblings on other platforms that a hire has been made.

Realistically he's not, and we need to accept that and move on from him.

Agree, unless someone presents the strongest argument I've ever seen.

Absolutely not. The game has passed Dabo by. Schumann has a chance to evolve with the new game.
