This won’t be about money. This will be about having his life given back to him after it fell off the rails. About giving back to Saban and Terry. That’s why Saban will hang for a bit and make sure boosters don’t frick with him. Some things aren’t about money. Sark is coming home.

He’s wasn’t bad. He had to change 15 years of whiney crying mentality that was in that locker room. Texas was a shite show behind the scenes. He’s built an offense that can outright go. His defensive unit he’s built is also very impressive. He manages games. And mainly, Texas ain’t Bama. He could build a legacy here. It’s Sark: bank it.

Texas is an easy place to win. Vast resources, the Big XII was biased enough for them that they put a special rule in place prohibiting the horns down gesture, etc. I'd agree with you if Sarkisian had followed Charlie Strong, but as it stands he followed Tom Herman, whose record there looks very similar to Sarkisian's.

No one has even mentioned the word extension. He didn’t get a call.

This is the Greg Byrne way.

If people are thinking like I am, they are worried about his recruiting abilities. Can he go out and recruit against stellar recruiters like Smart, Sark, Kelly, etc.?

Saban didn't have big recruiting classes until he got to LSU, even then his first classes were ranked around 15.

What a lot of folks don't account for is recruiting budget. A lot of schools won't commit budget to properly recruit. Maybe DeBoer could do better with more commitment from the university. Also, Washington is a brutal place to recruit. Way off the beaten path, with virtually no in state talent.

No saying he'll work, I certainly have my doubts. But folks saying he's a "bad hire" doesn't really compute either.

Clearly. I mean just look at all the success they had from 2010 to 2022. Hell, they've had ONE national title since 1970. Very easy. Just plug a one-eyed monkey in there and they'll win.

Well, that’s a leap from what I said and would be quite stupid

I didn’t mean it as a direct reply to what you said. I was just trying to bring some humor to the board.

You guys are tracking the wrong planes. You should be tracking Sextons last three stops before landing in T town.

You'll get the shock of your lives.

It doesn't matter how big of a booster you have if the coach wants to leave. I only say that for Lanning. If he truly wants to be back in the south with his family, he would take the job if offered. If he doesn't and is really happy where he is, then he will stay. It will not matter who has the bigger booster.

A place can be an easy place to win and still hire bad coaches. The point stands that Herman had as many good seasons there as Sarkisian did.

I truely believe nobody offered Lanning that Job. He's just too new. Not there yet.
