Yeah I saw it, f that mouth he’s got. Tell him to worry about Washington and Georgia smacking that arse recently in big games.

But those coaches left with winning records at Bama, Perkins was something like 37-15 and Curry was 26-10.

Right, although looking it up, Perkins was 32-15-1. The strength of the program in that era was such that they could weather two pretty weak coaches back to back.

He's just selling Oregon which is his job.

The CBS station in Eugene Oregon was reporting it.

And they were probably saying it based off of the same source too. Local news stations run with stories with little basis all the time

Pat McAfee also has a real talent for making his guests look as bad as possible by dragging them down to his frat boy in a state of arrested development level.

That's true, but I think the way he went about it was pretty standard for him. Has a history of running his mouth. A lot of these coaches who think they're masters of NIL and the portal seem to be that way.

Maybe, Saban changed his mind after he had a panic attack last night. He’s back and getting Jimmy boy to get him a 8 year extension. I realize I'm treading on the denial stage, but Urban Meyer did this at Florida

That didn’t turn out well. Urban was checked out all year and then quit.

If Deboer gets the job better hope he retains a good bit of the staff

I'd be fine with him gutting the staff and just bringing in new people with SEC experience.

What doesn’t fit? The winning he’s done at every level? The discipline his teams play with?

He’s not from the south, but that’s irrelevant if he has the right staff. I wouldn’t hate that hire at all.

agree and not a problem with that, my problem is he chose to go on mcafee and say it

nick denied alabama interest, with reporters in his face asking constantly

lanning could have said nothing, put out a statement through the university or called a press conference

to go on mcafee and talk about how great oregon is and no interest in going to bama is bush league

Gotta be one of the saddest days ever, clearing out that office.
