There's a flight arriving in Eugene right now from Seattle. Then almost immediately after a flight scheduled from Eugene to Tuscaloosa.

Byrne using Kid Rock's plane to bring Deboer to Tuscaloosa from Seattle via Eugene, completely throwing everyone off. Damn.

We are looking at the wrong Athens.

It’s gonna be my boy Philip. He’s gotten a season or two down in Baldwin Co.

Most modern head coaching interviews and meetings are held virtually. You probably won't be seeing "private jets" flying about. N1UA will leave Tuscaloosa when the dust is settled and it's time for Greg to pick up his guy.

And, yes, N1UA is trackable. Just not on flight status websites such as FlightAware, FlightView, etc.

The Byrne MO in hiring has been full of misdirection. There was lots of smokescreens around the Oats hire. This is probably the same. Only a couple people really know.

That's right, I forgot about that. Following Bryant, they bizarrely hired back to back coaches who entered with losing records.

that small private plane that was headed from Tuscaloosa

Wonder if any head coach (or agent) with an unfavorable extension sitting on his desk has ever hired a private plane as a bluff?

"Boss, there's a Gulfstream taking off from Tuscaloosa, headed this way."

"Coach, hey!! We've got a newer version of this contract for you to take a look at, ASAP."

wjox just said Saban showed up fpr work at 7:20 this morning and is still in the building. Jimmy Sexton is also in the building. So, he could be working on Sabans new contract, or he could be working on a contract with one of the prospective coaches. Jox says he represents several of the coaches under consideration. War Chant.com reporting that Norvell is on the Ala short list, and they have a source that says Lanning was never considered and never contacted. that is coming from the guy the originated that fsu site and owns it.

But those coaches left with winning records at Bama, Perkins was something like 37-15 and Curry was 26-10.
