Rumor that Jase McClellan is going to enter the portal today and transfer to OM

I saw this on one of the Bama You Tube channels. Not sure I believe it (and will believe it when I see it) but I don’t see how a year at OM increases his potential NFL stock.

More opportunities maybe

College football is so stupid now

He's played pretty well against them the last two seasons, so they might think they'd rather have him with them.

Covid year creating chaos in this sport. I’ll be happy once we move past it.
Without it Jase and Roydell would be going to the NFL and we’d naturally transition to our younger RBs.
I hope it isn’t true honestly. Just go to the league, Jase.

With Roydell and Jase (possibly) moving on, that has to mean that we were going to get a heavy dose of Jam and Justice no matter what.

McClellan is a replacement level back. Not a bad player but no elite traits.

It never should have even applied to guys whose teams played the 2020 season unless they opted out voluntarily.

Covid year has made roster management impossible. 23 and 24 year olds shouldn’t be playing college ball

It has more to do with the transfer rules than the covid year.

Covid year is a symptom, CFB being a broken minor league football league with no contract rolling free agency is the problem.

When Kiffin dials up plays for him to catch the ball in space and showcase what his strengths are his stock probably will go up. Makes sense to me

Playing in an offense with a QB may help

Sad to see him go if true, however I'm definitely a fan of Justice Haynes, Jam Miller, and Richard Young. The former two definitely seem to be more explosive than Williams or McClellan.

good point…if true, he’ll probably thrive in Kiffen’s offense.
Another reason I hate upper classmen transferring to schools we play is their
familiarity with our playbook, etc. - but it’s the world we live in now.

Portal window closes today, if I’m not mistaken.

Unless we play them in the playoffs or sec championship game, we aren't playing Ole Miss next year.
Besides, there is nothing McClellan can tell him that he hasn't seen on film.
