Is Lsu going to hire the recently fired DC DJ Durkin?

Elko took one look at his defense and said thanks but no thanks.

A&M's scraps are surely an improvement to whatever Lsu was doing last year.

You had a pretty decent defense last year. It was serviceable.

Durkin would be an improvement, but I don’t see Kelly gutting the whole staff if he isn’t swinging for the fences at both the DC spot and position coaches.

A&M's defense wasn't terrible. Durkin just wasn't Elko's guy. He wouldn't be a bad hire. Would be an improvement for LSU but I'm sure Kelly has other people in mind at the moment.

Durkin and Kelly sounds like a dangerous combo….

And not in the usual way

Why not? Then they would have 2 coaches that killed a kid.

If we had Durkin this past season we're a playoff team.

I would take him, A&M has fielded fairly good units during his tenure.

Normally I would dispute this but apparently there are 104 better options than what we did last year.

2022 was not a fairly good unit

Meh, was 25th in scoring defense. Gave up like 21 points per game.

That is pretty decent.

If Moscona is predicting it you know right away it won't happen.

One of the worst rush defenses in the country, 40th or so in yards per play, similarly mediocre in the advanced efficiency stats if I remember right. He inherited one of the very best defenses in the country from 2021 stacked with young DL talent and inexplicably shoehorned them into 3 man fronts constantly

We were much better this year but he played a big role in the 5-7 season
