Will A&M rush in to grab House just like they did Chavis when LSU ran him off?

One of the worst rush defenses in the country, 40th or so in yards per play, similarly mediocre in the advanced efficiency stats if I remember right. He inherited one of the very best defenses in the country from 2021 stacked with young DL talent and inexplicably shoehorned them into 3 man fronts constantly

Aggies told me all of this was because he was playing a ton of true freshmen, back when it was happening.

Durkin and Kelly would be a killer combo.

This will fly right over most heads here, just like it did aggy when Durkin was hired.

Durkin isn't fantastic, he's solid though.

Durkin is decent, but got tired of seeing us outnumbered in the box.

He's not even being mentioned as a possibility by anyone who knows what they're talking about. Moscona is a clown with zero sources. He just throws shite against the wall for clicks.

Well he’s better than what House fielded, but frustrated plenty of Ags this season and last.

Sidewalk is going to have to turn in his Aggie Insider card

A&M's scraps are surely an improvement to whatever Lsu was doing last year.

The difference here, gay farmer milkman guy, is that one bad year gets you fired at LSU.

We don't hold onto your arse for seven talking about wait for Jumbo to get his cruitin' classes in the door.

Most Aggies were frustrated because you often needed his defense to be elite to win games and it wasn't.

It was just solid.

Either way, I would take Durkin if some other options don't pan out.

Better than House, but no, that was not the frustration of Aggie fans

Aggies were often frustrated because they felt Durkin played too many 3 man fronts when they felt their defensive line talent called for 4 man fronts.

But the root of the problem was they needed to be elite and it wasn't, barely anyone plays 4 down linemen anymore.

Durkin keeps failing up. Left a good thing at Ole Miss to rearrange deck chairs on the titanic for a year only to go back to another situation exactly like he had at ole miss if he takes the LSU job.

The defense he inherited at ole miss was last in every category so he’s used to projects

Going to A&M didn't work in retrospect but it wasn't a bad move at the time with the defensive talent they had.

Remember, when he was hired, they were coming off a NY6 bowl and had just signed the best class ever.

Much easier to springboard into a head coaching job from that position than from Ole Miss.

It’s good to see the mental gymnastics that every coach sucks A&M hires, now the mental gymnastics that Durkin is good

Enjoy the 3 man fronts.
