Rick Scott
"Scott is calling for any notes, recordings or reports about the committee deliberations to select the University of Alabama’s Crimson Tide, which lost to Texas earlier in the year, over the Florida State Seminoles, who compiled a perfect 13-0 record during the season, to the playoffs.
He wants all emails, text messages and other written communications exchanged between members of the selection committee about its college playoff selections, including communications exchanged with College Football Playoff company officers and board members.
And Scott wants all emails, texts and communications exchanged between the selection committee and individuals not affiliated with the College Football Playoff selection committee, company or board.
He also wants the committee to turn over all statistical data and game video of FSU’s season reviewed by the selection panel."

Can’t get anything done in DC so he’s gonna turn his attention to the important things.

I hope they plead the 5th. It's not like they're defrauding the government of billions, unlike Rick.

He doesnt have any authority to ask for that shite.

He’d have to be running a committee with subpoena power. This is just staffers in his office trying to come up with something since Trump made it so loud.

They could do like they did with Trump and turn it into a civil case. No reason to file a criminal case against an entire entity when you can damn an entire organization going against one person in a civil court.
The playoff committee itself is a private entity while ESPN is a publicly traded company. Just file civil against Bill Hancock and the BCS trust and they’re cooked.

He’s not the AG.
He’s not the head of the FBI.
He’s not even a local sheriff.
He’s just out scoring political points with the FSU fans, period.

When I was a younger man I worked for a bookie on the side. And the most important thing he taught me is never make a bet on emotions, not ever!
If ten professional gamblers had the choice to either pick FSU or Bama for $50k to win the championship in this playoff who would they pick…. I’d be willing to bet all 10 would pick Bama.
Ppl have let their emotions get the best of them on who’s the better team is that should be in this playoff between FSU and Bama. And we all know damn well if you got $50k riding on the line between the two what the logical bet will be. Plain and simple

Simply a politician pandering to his constituents.
Nothing to see here.

The College Football Playoffs, and everything associated with it, are entirely owned by a private company, BCS Properties, LLC. None of its employees are government employees.
The members of the Board are the conference commissioners...also private employees.
They should tell Scott to go frick himself. If by some miracle he gets a subpoena, Corrigan should wipe his arse with it after dumping a creamy behemoth and send it back to him.
This thing was set up just like this so they can tell pieces of shite poiticians like Rick Scott to go frick themselves.

If everyone would just ignore them, they'd lose interest and shut up.

Of all the issues in this country this what he wants time spent on?
Posted on 12/4/23 at 10:29 pm to RiverCityTider
I know one thing Bama played a tougher schedule than Texas, and an early season loss with a new QB to the no.3 team in the country is about as good a loss as you can possibly have.
IF anyone should be taking all this heat it's Texas

Honestly, the more time goes on, I’m even more shocked the committee went with Bama because of the inevitable meltdown it was gonna start. I’m even seeing people that know nothing about college football or sports gripe about it and I’m like…wtf? Everyone on social media has lost its mind over it. Granted, I’m in the gen z/millennial age demographic that is baby butt soft about a lot of things, but the amount of whining I’ve seen about it on Instagram and Twitter is incessant and starting to piss me off more than it does entertain.
It’s making it even more important to me to see Alabama win it all.
