Baylor's OL was terrible this year

The oline room (all of them) said they would walk if he was retained (allegedly).
He was suppose to be fired this morning, now tomorrow, there is always tomorrow.
Supposedly Sam is giving him a chance to save face by finding a new job.
No word on how Sam feels about flip flopping the line like Sam likes to do.

I didn’t hear anyone complaining in 2021 or 2022 but this year he suddenly forgot how to coach while rebuilding an offensive line?
Hopefully they will be able to bring in more quality players with more money available and he can get his memory back.

Bobby's first move as "OC" will be to fire his arse if he hasn't already moved on.

Briles entire scheme is to hide inept line play. This it wasn't as big a deal. Now that we're gonna be a pro style offense or whatever it matters a lot more

People complained about the redzone offense non stop. When you have limited space it becomes difficult to scheme around bad line play.

So now Briles was a great coach? This place is confusing……

That's not what I said. I said his scheme hides inept line play. He still struggled at times winning lines of scrimmage and punching it in.
Briles is a solid coordinator. I dont remember ever saying he was bad. He had his struggles here at times but overall was pretty successful.

Yeah they back pedal a lot.
As far as Briles, he was a good coach bc his scheme overcame our glaring deficiencies on the OL and QB decision making skills. We couldn’t score once the field shrunk but at least we could move the ball some. The pro style offense was doomed to fail with this roster. That’s why I’m worried about Petrino. But good coaches figure out ways to best utilize their players. So we will see.

Yep, lots of smoke here. I think he'll quietly be encouraged to "move along" within all the uproar happening now over BP as a cover. Wouldn't be surprised if there was a move made in the next day or two, with the framing that he wasn't necessarily fired as much as replaced.
Pittman has shown he's willing to go to lengths we didn't expect when it comes to making moves as a "nice guy". It paid off for his DC hires, his OC hire just made a huge splash (although I don't think it was 100% his call), his removal of Enos midseason, and next will be his cutting of ties with Kennedy.
It's coming, I'm fairly certain. He has to know Kennedy is persona non grata, as he's shown he's plugged in with the overwhelming opinions of the fans thusfar

He's being moved to another position because Sam won't fire him.
New OL coach will be announced this week.

The offense can be molded to whatever scheme they want, space will be available on the roster one the portal is fully open...

I’ve said that was something he would do.
Like he did others last year.

If Kennedy is still there for some crazy reason, I wouldn't want to be him or any O-lineman if a defender comes through untouched next year to sack the quarterback.
Petrino won't be about that mess.
In other words, he ain't coming to paint.

I wish him the best in his future endeavors as an 8th grade PE coach.
