They aren’t perfect, but so far they’re a massive improvement over anything Golding put on the field.

So much pressure in the 2nd half...especially from the DL. It was glorious.

Keenan has been a revelation.

When we have dudes that are talented enough to get to QB consistently, you do that. Period. Golding is a fricking putz.

Gave up 3 in the 2nd half.

They wreaked havoc on that Aggie qb in the 2nd half.

I said this week our defense will turn Max Johnson into his 2021 LSU self

In the second half, they did that, a safety, a pick and a bunch of INC's.

This defense is fricking spectacular

Defense was CRUSHING the QB in the second half. Looked like a vintage Bama defense.

Just super impressed with how they played. Especially in the second half. They are truly elite. We lose today without this defense.

Truth. He's very disruptive.

Defense is starting to get nasty. If they keep it up we will be a hard team to beat.

Defense played lights out.
Burton played lights out minus the fumble.

And Will Reichard is the best player in football. Fight me.

What’s the deal with the OLine coach

OLine

The aTm DL is very good. However, speed rushing from the edge is not one of their strong tools.

The aTm DL played excelent against the run and the Alabama OL looked bad in blocking the run. I suspect the Oline spent so much energy wanting to protect JM that their "want to" was lacking when it came to run blocking. They have to sit back a little to gain a little horizontal flex for pass pro but do not seem to be able to generate drive for run blocking unless they have their weight heavy on their hands. Quickness has been tossed out in favor of massive size.

Good with the bad or is this just bad? Obviously we can’t fix the weight issue immediately so what’s the answer? Toss sweeps and the like?

They need Barrett Jones and Anthony Steen to teach these boys how to zone block. Then they need to run outside zone, zone read. We don't really have the speed (currently playing) to do wide toss sweep. Maybe put in a little bootlegs for JM with the HB doing a cross over lead for him. Ouzts might do good there since his purpose would be to knock down or delay anyone with penetration so JM can get to the edge.

Watched a replay of the second half and one of the things that stood out was Keenan just wrecking their offense.

(They couldn’t block Turner or Braswell or Eboigbe either.)

I want to say Tim Keenan lead the team in tackles yesterday. He's been tough and seems to be getting better and better. Definitely been stout at the point of attack in the middle.

He did with 8, and 1.5 sacks. Kid has absolutely woken up the last few games and it has transformed the defense.
