I thought having a Peyton Manning meant having a generational QB without any National Championships.

He is much more of a Peyton Manning than a Joe Burrow.

Dude is an absolute train wreck. Notice they never even touched his equally awful stints in the CFL & AAF, either.

I tried watching this and quit about halfway through when I found myself asking 'why am I wasting my time watching a documentary about this a-hole?' I don't find Manziel interesting or likeable. Maybe it got better, but I'll never know.

It was around two weeks ago, where I woke up one morn, thinking that it would be the day that aggy was going to tell us his opinion on the first 10 min of the hour long best player on the worst football team special.

Then two hours later followed up with a rich review.

Johnny should've never tried the NFL.

Confused on how anything you have said so far relates to Joe Burrow or LSU. I really can't think of one thing.

It always amazes me when someone that has absolutely nothing and has done absolutely shite, wants to sling mud at others.

Eli tied Payton and Johnny with zero titles each. F the Mannings, all 5 of them.

Well he was never going to play QB at Texas. Hell Mack Brown recruited Johnny and RG3 to play safety and CB. So if he had his way he would have been a back up CB in Texas. I have no problem with him saying he should have played somewhere else.

But retrospectively, not many places would have let him actually see the field. A lot of things had to happen at the right time. Sumlin and Kliff are part of the stars aligning for him. Mike Evans and the fantastic OLine is another.

I think he fails to realize all of the stars that had to align for him to succeed. This was indeed lightening in a bottle and he is an outlier.

+1

My take from the documentary was simple: Johnny is weak and cannot cope with struggles, adversity, challenges, conflict, etc. Instead of being honest with himself, he blamed his struggles on depression, anxiety, etc. It's nothing but denial.

I hope he finds the confidence he needs to succeed going forward, not the fake swagger, "money sign" bullshite we all know him to be about.

He was a tremendous player though.
