Would I ever set foot inside one again since graduating and getting a real job? Hell no.
Why not?
I don't eat fast food. It's crappy, filler-laden, over salted, over fatted, over sweetened, over processed garbage food.
There was a time in my life it was a treat for me to eat such things, but that time has passed.

I have a number of friends that Played, Coached Football there and Graduated from aTm. One of the guys that started Jason’s Deli, is an aTm guy. He had a private tailgate every football home game. I had an open invitation. I’ve been there a number of times. It has grown over the years. Passed by there last night on my way back from Omaha.
Way back, it was like a barren wasteland, it has filled out. I’ve flown into their airfield with a friend. He was shocked to see a bunch of black smoke right before takeoff. The fire training grounds are right there. The have a nice fire School, I’ve been there a number of times over the years.

There is something really off about the people that attend/graduate the school. Not sure how to describe…it’s like a bunch of dorky dudes that prob wear tighty whiteys religiously instead of boxers. The football game where the dorky ROTC guy chased a UT cheerleader with his saber comes to mind.
Again - something is just very off.

Awesome city - low crime, plenty of bars and restaurants,
Will never come close to the charm of Baton Rouge, which has about three blocks that are safe to walk around off-campus, next to an industrial river channel. Baton Rouge is like Port Arthur with a credit card.

Predominantly gay.

Here's a quick summary of the negative comments regarding College Station:
"College Station is gay. Also their buildings aren't pretty enough."

No culture, kind of sterile looking like a hospital. Weird.
Simply put, CS lacks the charm you find in most college towns. That is because the University sat by itself there for decades and CS really didn't grow around it until the 1950s and later. So you don't have any of those pre WWII neighborhoods you have in other places.
You have those in Bryan but there is a bit of a disconnect to CS and the campus. If downtown Bryan were closer to campus it would be better as far as that goes.
Campus is mostly sterile but has a few nice spots on it. Not horrible.

-Go to a game if it's a game weekend
-Check out Northgate, eat a Freebird at the original location (in texas... think there was a one off in california first), have a beer at the dixie chicken, learn to play 42 at the dominos tables there
-Play golf on campus or find somebody that knows somebody at one of the nicer private courses
Easily the lamest to do list I think I've ever seen. God A&M sucks

Actually just went back through CS for the first time since 2000, could not believe how much it changed. It has literally doubled in size. It’s growth rate is insane.

Do terrible cities grow that quickly?

In College Station we party like it’s 1939.
Don’t you forget that.
