This is what happens when you lead a contingent of schools to flip against a 9-game schedule and embarrass the league office.

Welcome to the state of spite, Alabama. Good luck with that 2024 schedule.

Winners:
Georgia
LSU
Texas A&M

Losers:
Alabama
Oklahoma
Florida
Texas

Appears they rewarded most teams that voted for 9 game schedule.

Not surprised at all.

Vanderbilt got a nice home slate of games.

Is he on 1010 during mid day? Name sounds familiar for some reason.

South Carolina and Mississippi State lost most of their traditional SEC matchups. That sucks.

Pretty amazing that each team will go into the season knowing they'll be playing 2-3 top 10 teams pretty much every year. Should provide some good motivation.

I think we may have the most fun away slate of games as far as college towns.

Athens, Austin, Knoxville, Oxford.

I'm pleased we still have Alabama, Florida, and Georgia. Our schedule wouldn't be the same without those three on it.

Happy to see Tennessee and Texas on there for us. I expected to get Texas, Oklahoma, Bama, Georgia, and Florida on ours given the way the SEC Schedules us. I'm expecting next year's schedule to be when the hammer drops.

On what planet does Texas or Oklahoma lose based on the schedule release?

2024 Texas Games
Florida
Georgia
Kentucky
Mississippi State
@Texas A&M
@Arkansas
@Vanderbilt

2023 Texas Games
BYU
Texas Tech
Kansas
Kansas State
@Baylor
@Houston
@TCU
@Iowa State

We play OU the same either way.

I just don’t understand why anyone thinks Alabama’s 2024 schedule is so daunting.

Dumb take.

The main difference for Alabama in ‘24 is UGA, and we get them at home. Everyone has to play either Texas or Oklahoma, and we will have just finished a H&H with Texas, so they gave us OU.

Alabama’s was probably one of the easier schedules to figure out.

Fans of both OU and Texass hit major pay dirt with their schedules overcurrent schedule in B12.

Not sure how in the world they didn’t win. What a home and travel schedule upgrade across the board. Fans of both should be ecstatic. It’s awesome for fans.

Id' lvoe to know how we're winners and bama is a loser.

-We both have each other so that cancels, although they get the game at home
-We both play OU/Tx on the road so let's say that's a wash
-They get Mizz/Sc/Vandy, likely the 3 worst teams int he league. We get none of them

Some fans consider a tough schedule a 'win'. Saban, on the other hand, gets on his knees and cries like a little bitch.

FYI, I am not sure I agree with him, just thought it was an interesting take. I think this will go a long way to elimination the dreaded dead week before the Thanksgiving weekend rivalries that always has very few good matchups.

This should show EVERYONE that is not happy that the only fair way to go is geographical.

Whether that is four pods or two divisions, it is truly the only subjective way to set a schedule.

East and West, with AL/MS state line as the divider...

West:
LSU
Ole Miss
Ms. St.
Ark
Mizzou
OU
Texas
A&M

East:
Florida
Georgia
South Carolina
Kentucky
Tennessee
Vandy
Alabama
Auburn

Not ridiculously unbalanced, but 100% accurate when it comes to two divisions based on geography. You simply cannot argue against the geography argument.

A&M definitely has the easiest away schedule with Auburn, Florida, State & South Carolina.
