I think Enos is a better QB coach without question.

Maybe i'll be proven wrong but I'm not impressed with the Enos retread.

There is a reason he hasn't been anywhere longer than 1 year since he left (outside of 2 years at MAryland)

Went to Bama and pissed off Saban

Went to Miami and got fired because he couldn't develop a QB and his offense sucked.

Picked up a RB coach job at Cincinatti

Now he's at Maryland where their offense has been less than stellar.

But hey he threw a pigskin a quarter mile back in 2015.

What did you expect? We're paying this dude $7M/year.

At Maryland, Enos has guided a powerful offense led by star quarterback Taulia Tagovailoa. In his first year, Maryland set single-season program records for total yards (5,740), passing yards (3,960), completions (339) and completion percentage (69.3%) in 2021. This year, they ranked fifth in the Big Ten in points per game (28.2) and fourth in yards per game (401.2) fourth in offensive efficiency (141.5). Also Maryland's quarterbacks coach, Enos has tutored Tagovailoa, who set seven single-season Maryland records in 2021, including passing yards (3,860), completions (328), completion percentage (69.2) and passing touchdowns (26). Enos has also been a piece of Maryland's strong recruiting efforts during the past two seasons.

So they can put up a ton of yards but cant score.

Should fit right in with our play last year.

28.5 isn't real impressive when 3 in front of you are averaging 36 or more points a game.

I like the hire, will be nice to have some maturity at the OC position.

Yeah going from Taulia to KJ should be a real good transition.

I think it’s a safe hire. It’ll keep things together for next year.

damn I was feeling okay with the enos hire before this. The fact that non Arkansas fans like stone hog are happy with the hire tells me it’s a bad choice by pittboss. Hope I’m proven wrong

I didn't really care much for Briles with y'all. Do you seem him as much of a loss really? I really like the Pit Boss and hope he does well.

Jefferson's intermediate passing game did not seem to change from 2021 to 2022. He absolutely struggles to hit those routes.

I like coordinators who put the best players in the best positions to excel. At times, Briles' offense felt very square peg/round hole-ish.

One of two things are probably true:

1. KJ has peaked, and they were protecting his weaknesses all season
2. Briles really wants things to go HIS way, regardless of skillset.

I’ve been a hog fan my entire life and have my name in the sidewalk twice. I just don’t put coaches on a pedestal like some of y’all do.

It’s hard to upgrade when briles is arguably the best OC in the country not already a HC

Nah, Briles is more overrated than anything.

We broke even at this point. Enos is better developer of the QB and briles had better recruiting connections.

If enos has stepped his recruiting game up we could potentially get ahead but it's hard to believe Maryland gave him the necessary southern in roads but I do like his offense and his actual coaching as well or a little better than briles.

What I said on here in Fall of ‘21:

Next year I would like to see less slow moving RPO’s and horizontal running game from shotgun, and more straight ahead spread power run and more pro vertical passing game. Maybe throw in some pistol formation sets. KJ is more of a Donovan McNabb than a RGIII. Would also like to see a lot of 5 wide where he has all sorts of options and can also take off and run against a spread out D.

Maybe we can get some of this with Enos.
