Use her pregnancy time to get back in shape, lose weight, etc. because you feel guilty doing it post partem.
It is the unsexy things between you and your wife that are harder to overcome. Its like never ending financial, logistical, and mentally exhausting work between you two. Don't be afraid to draw a line to keep the flame going. Take care of her but take care of your relationship above all else.

Im on the last book and gotta say I feel like it really loses steam after the first 3 or 4. Story seems to keep expanding in a nonsensical manner, almost like filler.

Every few days depending on amount of rounds being played, rain, and most importantly, after EVERY tournament. Nothing more infuriating than playing at my cc the day after a big 4 man scramble charity thing and our staff was too lazy or busy to cut new pins.
