Going to commit seppuku if Golding is back. I just can’t take it

Start sharpening your blade because he ain't going anywhere. Saban has latched onto him for whatever reason.

"positive steps"? Not exactly a ringing endorsement

Y’all just need to embrace that Pete Golding - Alabama DC is the only constant in life.

What’s he supposed to say? “Yeah that guy sucks, can’t wait to fire him”?

Last week Saban said when asked about Bill O’Brien that he wasn’t going to publicly assess any coordinator “good, bad or indifferent” especially before the season is over. This week, he is publicly praising Golding. Saban just loves the guy for some reason and it’ll take someone hiring him away for us to get a new DC. We’re stuck with him.

A freaking 1/4/6 scheme against LSU on there game winning drive.

That's an abomination. watching lbs get pushed beyond the 1st down marker isn't a player issue... That the LOS equivalent of putting a safety on a WR or LB on James cook ..works on a chalk board I guess but it not in real life

Exactly I get that OCs is trying to create mismatches but Pete seems to give mismatches up with out any effort ...or neutralizes a players physical skills.
A 1/4/6 against a agile QB is an easy read for a team with an agile QB and or semi decent back. Dropping 31 or 15 into space is like taking your best salesman and assigning him to a HR proj for 6 months. 31 is the best player on the field when he is on there field and more times than not should beat the player across from him but putting him in coverage makes him an "ok" player It creates winning scenarios for the other team

Heaven forbid inserting more CBs to counter that mismatch.

Best hope is he gets hired as a HC at some small school. I don’t see him getting out right fired

Say what he said when asked about O’Brien last week?

I was at least hoping he would not gush about Golding.

That would be preferable, yes. But realistically, there's a middle ground between that and what's in the op.

Maybe Saban is trying to build Golding up so someone will hire him after Saban fires him....Honestly, I think Saban has honestly lost his edge. If he keeps Golding, I hope he retires soon before the program comes completely off the rail.

In Saban talk: "Obviously we've had some challenges but it's something we're working on and will continue to work on"
