We have been focused on making Bryce the centerpiece of the offense and neglecting the run

I think Bryce is a good college QB. That's it. I don't see anything beyond that. That's no disrespect to him. Enough about Bryce. This Arkansas game is the first time this season we have ran the ball more than 40 times in a game. We ran the ball 42 times to be exact against Arkansas. And, I doubt we do that if Bryce isn't injured. I'm not one of these people who thinks the OL just came together or something. Rather, I think we have NFL RBs who have been largely neglected and that includes Gibbs. As good as Gibbs is using him mostly in the pass game or at least half the time in the pass game may be a misuse of his talents. Gibbs is a RB for a reason. Run the ball more with Gibbs, McClellan and Roydell. If we are effective running the ball it will only make the passing game more impactful.

I think you are seriously underestimating Bryce then. He is elite.

Good? Yes. Very good? Yes. Elite? No.

He’s an elite QB. It’s a QB centric offense. And rightfully so. You can’t have it both ways.

Even if Bryce is elite why not exploit the talents of your best RB since Derrick Henry every game? Gibbs didn't do anything he didn't do at GA Tech. All of us who watch more than Alabama football know Gibbs is a Heisman-winning talent in his own right.

I don't see how you can watch Tua, Mac, and Joe Burrow and think Bryce is elite. My eyes work pretty damn good. I know what I'm looking at.

I seriously question that.

If Young isn't hurt yesterday Arkansas never gets close. The offense is really starting to come together and by year's end is going to be very hard for anyone to deal with.

You suck and obviously know very little about football outside of being our resident “hot take” artist

I don't know what to tell ya Shaft except that you should learn to appreciate what we have in Bryce. We are lucky that he's on our team. Grass isn't always greener, and it certainly isn't in this situation. I don't necessarily disagree with you that we should utilize our studs at RB more, but Bryce is absolutely a special player.

We're averaging 250 yards a game rushing and 7.4 yards per rush on the season and Bryce is an elite QB.
But I guess we just can't let go of the "we are soft and can't run the ball" narrative.

100% agree. You will not receive much agreement with the peanut gallery on this board though.

Yeah, but on the other hand OP is a dumbfrick loser whose entire sense of self worth is tied to Alabama football and clearly has a personal vendetta against Bryce for not managing to drag last year's team to a title despite his top targets being Slade Bolden and Cam Latu for over half the game.

Pretty well said. Yesterday if Bryce stays in, even with our high amount of dropped passes, we probably name the score 60,70 whatever.

OP has been trolling constantly for weeks.

There's also the nonsense implication that Gibbs wasn't involved in the offense until yesterday. Dude was averaging 90 yards from scrimmage per game, and he is every bit as dangerous as a receiver as he is as a runner.

When Bryce is healthy, you see what he did. The offense scored on almost every drive.
He’s an asset, and a strength. When you have that strength, you play to it. Running isn’t a necessity when you know you can throw. In this case, throwing sets up the run.
This is football 101.
Also, watch Bryce set his protections, change the play at the LOS, check defense, etc., then say he’s “a good college QB, that’s it.”

Since you are comparing QBs can you do it with the WRs the others had vs what Bryce has had to work with? Just curious because unless my memory fails me here how many NFL WRs did those 3 have vs Bryce? Or how would you compare the RBs and OL vs what Bryce has had.
What would Bryce look like under Sark like the others had vs. BoB?
To be honest I would say Bryce has done more with less and has taken the team(not great by any means) but to a NC and undefeated this year. Not sure anyone could meet your expectations.

I can remember a time ppl raised hell that Bama didn’t have the talent at QB that could read the field and make the throw’s. Saban went out and made it a priority to sign top level QB’s and WR’s and even change the offensive philosophy to a quicker pace attack. But he’s never abandoned the run game fully, it’s always been there when it’s needed like yesterday. I said yesterday that Gibbs was going to have a big game, as the season goes on he’ll be more involved.
Is Bryce elite in all area’s? No he’s not, but he is elite in the area’s that matter most. When the shite hits the fan and you need a stone cold killer to win the game, Bryce Young is the slayer I want behind center. That’s the kind of elite all coaches want in a QB.

I've looked everywhere, but cannot find any stats in the number is WR drops. It's been crazy how many they've missed.
