If we are talking dog mascots in general... yea Georgia y'all gotta start going to a less inbred breed of bulldog.

UGA X is more comfortable than anyone in this thread.
Im sure Smokey is the same.
In many households, the pets care comes first. It is a sweet life.
For all of the jokes about UGAs mascot health, we are still in the reign of UGA X. The bulldawgs in Savannah appear to live as long as the blue tick coonhounds from up north.

Shorter ears and snout in first pic looks almost like a Catahoula. They are great hog hunting dogs. We had several growing up and they would just kill shite in the woods and bring it home on their own for fun.

Smokey is the best dog mascot in the country and I hate everything else about UT. Sorry UGA but Bully at Miss St is a much better looking bull dog. I don't worry about he camera panning over to him while he dies on the sideline. The collie from A&M is even better than the genetic freak UGA.

Hard not to love a dog that takes those pics. Smokey may be the only mascot that tried out and won the job fair and square. He's been beloved ever since.
As an aside, does anyone know of another mascot that won the job in tryouts?
