My Sakerlina Gamecocks will get a bye week "W" after losing 4 straight and firing our offensive coordinator. Also, our HBC will play "Beamer Ball" at practice, make every 4th down conversion he attempts, and feel confident that these high risk, ill-advised, low success rate plays will work every time he tries them against A&M next week.

Spurs UP, baby!!!
:pimp: :dude: :banghead:
It's really pretty simple

He wants that head coaching job...

And the A&M game was his first chance to prove he could coach...

Unfortunately, I don't think he ever took any remedial motorcycle riding classes...
Here's the scoop on these so-called Ohio State fans...

I worked with a guy that was from Ohio. Back during the Tressle years, I was ragging him about Ohio State. Later, he pulled me aside and said, "honestly, dude, I don't know that much about the Buckeyes. The NFL is bigger up there than college football. I'm a Browns fan."

Fast forward a couple of years and all of a sudden he's the biggest Buck-nut fan on the planet, even denying he ever made that statement.

So, after the luster wears off and OSU comes back to earth they'll be back to cheering for the Brownies or whoever else in the NFL they decide to bandwagon on.

The OP on this thread will probably even change his name back to Browns4Life or whatever it was before.

support-wise the coach will get what he wants. It's literally happened for every single hire since Spurrier.

I don't get it...

There have been 6 coaches hired since Spurrier left.

Only one has been successful.

There is something else going on down in Gainesville if HBC's have all the resources, recruits, and support they need

You are not nearly the same level as UF.

This...

Somebody explain to me why UF thinks they are members of the elite of college football?

They're not. Absolutely not.

Look up the history of college football in Gainesville. Out of 120 seasons of college football being played at UF, they're mediocre (at best) except for the 15 seasons that Spurrier and Myer roamed the sidelines. And as great as Spurrier was there, he only won one National Championship.

So, no... Florida is not in the same class as the elites of CFB, contrary to the popular opinion of those in the Sunshine State. Maybe this is why UF is mired in permanent mediocrity. People (IE: coaches) that know football realize that this false self-perception coupled with the pressures to win yesterday make for a toxic culture.

That one's gonna leave a mark...

Manziel could straight up ball.

The jury is still out on Manning after only one game...

With the defending National Championship...

In a hostile environment

Everybody has skeletons...

We just don't know Arch's. His image is more carefully managed than a DC politician

I wish all the teams at the bottom of the Conference standings and lost this weekend would tighten up and quit making the SEC look bad...??????

Well, reading probably isn't your strong suit anyway...

Am I right?
When Florida State replaced their QB against Louisville their backup was largely ineffective.

UGA's backup sparked a comeback win against the (allegedly) #2 team in the country.

I get that you were making a snarky comment but there are those who will read the title and ignore your post...

Which was pretty much dead nuts on.

Transcripts Found!!!

The actual transcripts of the Texas/SEC negotiations for entering the conference have been found and released to the public

Harzell: Glad I was able to squeeze some time in to see ya' Greg.
Sankey: Uh, that's "Commisioner Sankey". And you asked for this meeting after you saw your proposed schedule
Harell: Uh, yeah, OK... Anyway, look, we're Texas. We're prestigious. And looking at this schedule, it's, well, let's just say "unrealistic". I mean, Tennessee? Alabama? LSU? Georgia? That's not feasible. We demand a change.
Sankey: Jay, let me remind you of something. This isn't the Big 12. You don't demand in the SEC. Remember, Texas petitioned us to join this conference, not the other way around.
Harell: C'mon, man. We need to kind of "dilute" this schedule a little bit. I mean, have you ever been to Austin? Those wokesters will never be interested in the Longhorns if we get our asses handed to us right at the git-go! I mean the LGBTQrstuv community is only behind us because we assured them that Bevo was trans and that "their" name is pronounced "Bev-Oh, like Beverly, instead of BEE-vo and that when "they" were castrated it was actually gender affirming care
Sankey: OK. Look. We'll drop Bama and LSU if you get rid of that dam Longhorn Network.
Harell: Commissioner, you're kidding. No, we don't get a ton of revenue from that but our fans absolutely LOVE the Bevo Christmas specials where you can tune in any time of day on Christmas and watch Bevo crap and pee and chew his cud all day long
Sankey: Okay. I'll take off Tennessee, too.
Harell: Deal! YEEE-HAWWW!!!! We're gonna run this conference
Sankey: Get the hell out of here, Jay

Vince Dooley's 1st year(1964) coaching record was 7-3-1

In this day and age, you are on the hot seat immediately for having those records.

Heck, if you look at Dooley's career at Georgia, he only won one National Championship and had 17 out of 25 seasons with 3 losses or more. It took him 17 seasons to win that natty.

But that was a different time. These days, patience to allow a coach to form and shape a team into a contender doesn't exist.

And in this new age of NIL? Lord, you let a coach go and you'll lose half your team to the transfer portal.

The powers that be need to somehow bring contracts into the picture so that a player is locked into a roster for 3 or 4 years.

What's happening now is lunacy

Boys! Boys!

No fighting

Let's play nice together!!!

You would have to have a proclivity to be attracted to those creatures in order to engage in that activity.

Somehow, I don't think this is the case with this lad

Well, you've definitely succeeded in that endeavor!!!
