I think it has to have something to do with the difficulty. To me it is a lot harder to reach the Final 4 than win a conference tourney. Different leagues would rank this differently as well. It's a lot easier for Gonzaga to win the conference regular season than reach the Sweet 16.

UA has the "Brick Yard" but its more of a lawn seating area behind the fence. Love's, the truck stops, donated $12 million to OU for their new stadium. Once completed it will seat 3000...

Try looking outside of a Covid year. During the 18-19 school year UA made bank. That year AU, Troy, UAB, UA, and Samford made money off of softball. I would bet OU softball definitely isn't losing money.

Maybe when it started but softball is now a revenue sport. Schools that invest in the program are seeing profits. It is the 4th highest revenue sport in the NCAA.
It's also paying for my daughter's education so I may be a little bias....

No way bama makes it in with a 6-12 conference record. I think they finish 4-2 or 3-3 at worst the rest of the way. If they went 2-4 to wrap up the season I still think they get in with a conference record of 8-10. Any lower and I doubt it. ...

Smokey is the best dog mascot in the country and I hate everything else about UT. Sorry UGA but Bully at Miss St is a much better looking bull dog. I don't worry about he camera panning over to him while he dies on the sideline. The collie from A&M is even better than the genetic freak UGA. ...

I guess you can take some solace in that. The problem is Arkansas has made a habit of losing in the first round over the last 25 years or so but hey, they made the tourney.

Dudy Nobel is legendary but I miss the old set up yall had. The original Left field Lounge is just iconic and a great baseball tradition. It is a beautiful facility now but just isn't the same. I guess to maintain success you have to bring in revenue and keep the money folks happy....
