There really couldn't be a worse situation, worse time, with a worse coverage map, than what Spectrum is currently dealing with. This map is pretty close to a heat map of where college football fans live. It's going to end up destroying them

Yep, Disney is using the anger of SEC fans to hold them hostage.

I stream spectrum for locals and ESPN via their Al a Carter plan. I buy paramount and Hulu by the year and have Disney+ for another 2 months(not renewing)

Cancelled my Disney subscription and I will not be renewing my park passes. My family is too and I have family coming to Orlando but they will go to Universal Studios instead. I know it is not much but it is a start.

Spectrum is choosing this as much as ESPN. Almost everyone else chose to work things out. Spectrum has done a lousy job compared to other services anyway. I didn't think anyone could make Comcast look good but Spectrum sure has.

Honestly, Comcast isn't that terrible. It's way too expensive to justify paying for it, but we never had any issues with blackouts or anything like that.
This one is on Spectrum imo, these comments from CEO yesterday seem to indicate they have no interest in keeping sports fans, which is insane to me given the map. That article says Spectrum has 15M subscribers, but you look at the map and it's Ohio, Michigan, Tennessee, Alabama, the most populated parts of Texas, Wisconsin, etc. and as a special FU to the non-cfb watching subscribers, MNF game next week is Bills-Jets

They are fricked

If you are not stuck in a contract, it is dumb not to quit Charter at this point

Is the Star Wars exhibit part of Disney or separate like Universal & MGM?

Most people can't because these companies hold you hostage by relying on them for Internet service. The only two providers in my area are Comcast and at&t. Neither of them really let you just subscribe to Internet service alone. You CAN, but they jack the price up if you don't also subscribe to TV.
It's all a scam.

Damn, that's ridiculous. Makes me thankful to have EPB.

Yeah don’t know what they are even thinking trying to stand firm when everyone knows sports is the only thing keep cable afloat. Only reason I’ve stayed w/Spectrum for so long is b/c they had the most sports channels and cable is still generally a better viewing experience.
However, I’m on week 2 of the YouTubeTV 3 week trial and though I think the UI is mediocre they have pretty much everything I want. The only two they don’t have is Pac12Net and Bally Sports both of which I’ll be able to get either via VPN on YTTV or separately (and w/the NBA buying their broadcast rights back I may not even need it). They have unlimited DVR and I don’t have to deal w/a shitty cable box that can barely hold anything and randomly forces me to reset the box to get the guide and certain channels to work.
Before this fight started I’d been w/Time Warner/Spectrum for 20 years and there was no way I’d even consider using a streamer. But now… the YTTV experience is good enough that I’m not sure I’ll ever go back to cable. Really the only reason I haven’t full on canceled is I’ve already paid for the month and wouldn’t get any money back for turning it in early.
