And keep in mind, it’s the first few games, we’re inexperienced and playing the number one team in the nation.. hard to make too many judgements with a team that is trying to find their way and will have obvious growing pains.

This game will be really good to have on film. Zags showing how to get the job done. We could learn a lot from them.

We need his outside shooting ability to be competitive.

I hope you're right. I haven't seen much out of him in the 1st 2 games that would lead me to believe hes that guy. But maybe so.

Our lack of effort and iq defending is not something that's going to be fixed anytime soon.

He was our best three point shooter last year. He’s just not a guy that can create his own shots though. If we can get some good ball movement and find him open, he’s a guy that will help us out from the bench.

When Cooper comes back I think our best starting lineup would be:

PG - Cooper
SG - Powell
SF - Flannigan
PF - Williams
C - Stretch

I don’t think effort is an issue at all. If anything our guys tend to overextend on defense. As for IQ, I expect that to get better noticeably as the season goes on. It’s a team of guys who have never played any substantial minutes at the college level.

Did a parlay with Gonzaga -17, Auburn +24.5, and Packers ML. Wanted to make tomorrow's game more motivating. Still hope we somehow backdoor cover anyway. The future is clearly very bright for Auburn basketball, and can't wait for idiots to experience it.

I'd still start Thor at the 5, I've liked what we've seen from him today. He's got a ton of promise and a really soft touch at the free throw line. Once he fills out he's going to be a great one. Though I'm sure him and Stretch will pretty much be co-starters.

On the positive, Flanigan is looking much improved with this jump shot and all around. Powell is going to be a beast at the 2 once we actually have a real point guard.

Offensively we are primarily missing a point guard that can drive and dish (and just make good passes in general). We can't take advantage of our athleticism or size on offense because we can't get the ball to them. Turbo is a freaking ball stopper, he's not a point guard.

Defensively we are ugly, but hopefully our rotations and ability to switch gets better as they get used to playing with each other. Obviously we were playing one of the best offensive teams in basketball today which didn't help, but we have a lot of work to do.

Taking the postseason ban this year was obviously a good call. Though if we can get Cooper back and tighten up the defense we can still be a very solid team.

I see we are at that part of the basketball season where the idiots come out who don’t follow the program. It’s always fun to watch idiots expose themselves

Maybe it's that our iq is so bad it appears the effort is lacking. But our defending couldn't have been worse. Constantly leaving their best player open, getting blown by on drives and barely moving feet, zero switching on pick and rolls, and no clue what we were doing trying to defend Timme in the post. Without exaggeration I could have defended him better than what we were doing jumping past him on the entrance pass and just letting him turn toward the goal for an uncontested layup.

Also, I bet on Gonzaga under 96.5 so most of my negativity was a reverse jinx attempt and it worked.

I don’t get why people respond to that troll?

Today played out like everyone expected... we learned way more the last two days than we did beating some D2 team by 60

There in lies the issue. Again, we’re a young team trying to find our way but I’m not judging Johnson’s role based off of the first 2 games of the season, I’m judging his role based off of his entire body of work and what kind of player he is. AA7 is right, he is a spot up shooter and that is his role because that is what he’s best at and we’ll need that as the season goes on and the team gels. Johnson will always have a role on this team because of his outside shooting ability, even though it might not be obvious to you during the 2nd game of the year, against the number one team in the country. Several turnovers and a lot of bad shots when we get behind is to be expected.

I assume bringing Thor off the bench was meant more to mitigate his early foul issues. Those were some godawful fouls, but maybe he'll learn quick.
