It's fine. Let's just hope we win a couple, get Okoro back and stop slumping before the tournaments.
Hope for decent matchups and try to get to the second weekend. This week should have poured water on anyone hoping for a surprise like last year, so hopefully we can pick it up a little and enjoy the still-rare sight of Auburn competing as a relatively decent seed in the NCAAT

Yeah we are fine. Better to be cold now than at the very end like we were in 2018.

Exactly.

It's obvious that Bruce doesn't go over shooting technique. Not a lot of coaches would let Cambridge on the floor with that wack arse shot
No college head coaches spend time on shooting technique. Nor should they.
Coach K doesn't, Izzo doesn't, Roy Williams doesn't.

Yep. We have had some historically bad shooting nights. If we shoot even average, we win the last two games.

If Okoro is back, 3 of 5 is a good goal. 4 of 5 is possible.
25-6 or 26-5 sounds great.

Good body.
Needs polishing of shot.

This is a bad take. Majority of kids are there for 4 years and it is not unreasonable for someone to rebuild a good shot in much less time than that.
Brooke Lopez literally figured it out in one offseason going from 2/14 3FGA in 15/16 to 134/387 (34.6%) in 16/17. STATS Article about transformation

All of these coaches are becoming relics who are still relevant at the top level only because of the high level talent they recruit.

Assistant coaches (and grad assistants are the ones who put in the work) do it in the offseason if they see something they can fix. The end. Not a bad take, it the fact of the matter.
Brook Lopez didn't really adjust his mechanics either. He just busted his arse.

Kuminga and his teammate, 4* 2021 center Adama Sanogo could be visiting in a couple weeks per J Lee. The visit is contingent on if they’re still playing HS ball at the time. If they are, they’ll come at a later date.
Like Kuminga, Sanogo is also a reclass possibility.

In Flanigan’s case, if he hadn’t already learned, he won’t. His dad obviously didnt care to tweak or unsuccessfully tweaked his son’s form. And in general, parents are particular of how they want their kids to play.

This would be a program altering development if we landed that package

I like it.
I’m not ready to give up on the regular season just yet. We get a shot at Kentucky, and UK has to play Florida twice. We play 3 of 5 at home.

We need to hire a shot doctor this off season
We need to evaluate the talent overall. We're going to be gutted after this year with what looks like nobody on the bench to consistently fill the gaps. We shouldn't be this inconsistent in year 5. Pearl is the GOAT but we've made some bad roster moves.
Adding Rayjon Tucker would of been sweet (damn you NBA)
Davion MItchell is looking like a 2021 draft guy.
I don' know where we thought the points would come from Johnson, Stretch, Flannigan, even Jaylin weren't known for their offense.
Jalen Green, Cooper, and a grad transfer / Juco guy would be niiiiiice

I agree with Stretch and Flanigan. We all know Flanigan was a 3* and is playing mainly bc of his D and probably makes the least mistakes w basketball awareness on the court.
Pearl thought (according to his comments) that J. WIlliams DOES have offense(25/game in HS, and over 25pts pts in some summer leagues). He even mentioned he will be good offensively, but needs work on D.
Johnson has a good shot, and with Memphis was 2nd on his team in made 3 pointers. HS he avg'd over 25 a game(about the same as BB did).
The problem is WIlliams isn't very good on D, even as a Soph. And unless he is lights out when he goes in on offense, he is going to get less minutes, due to his defense.
And you forget to throw in Cambridge who out of all of them has helped us the most with his offense, but unfortunately he seems to only do it at home and not consistently.

Yeah we are fine. Better to be cold now than at the very end like we were in 2018.
We've already matched our 2018-19 regular season total in wins (22) and are 2 shy of matching our SEC win regular season total (11) with 6 games to go.
We're playing with house money as far as I'm concerned.

I remember thinking last year that if he dropped that Arky game at home we were in real danger of missing the tourney...
It’s amazing how things can change in college basketball.

I mean, I think we kind of thought the points would be coming from 2 guys who are now NBA players
It's not easy planning a roster in advance in college basketball, especially when you have a crucial 10 month period with a self-imposed recruiting ban.
