Barfield went 8-3 in 1979.

Harsin and Freeze never touched 7 wins.

This is the darkest Auburn football has been in my lifetime(born in 1960s).

Historically, probably the darkest since 1949 or so.

I love Auburn with every fiber of my being. Losing hurts but most of us are not broken. We are waiting to see what fixes the problem. We tried Harsin and Freeze and the results sucked. Now we are trying Golesh. I hope for better results on the field.

I clicked for one second until I realized who it was. I have never liked his schtick. The dude just isn’t funny. I can’t even believe people follow his dumb arse.

Fandom is at an all time low. Cant name hardly anyone on the team. Don't know a single commit we have for this year. Couldn't give you a name if my life depended on it and we currently have a top 10 class.

Still havent turned in the season tickets though. Too many decades to just walk away

This. I feel like the golden goose that laid the golden egg has been slaughtered by all of the stakeholders except the fan. Have not given up season tickets yet...guess I'm hoping it will be fun again, but the good 'ol days ain't coming back...still, not sure how much longer I can/should hold on.

I screamed so loudly at this it spooked my wife, who hasn't heard me react to the only other sport I watch consistently (Auburn football) in years.

I've just kind of accepted that Auburn is on the struggle bus, and I never played football so the ease or not of a play isn't something I can always judge. But I played 9 years of soccer and holy frick Freese.

1950 0-10

1951 Shug’s first year as Head Coach .I thing they went 5-5 Shug’s last Freshman class had joined the team.

1957 National Champions in the first AP poll.

I’m looking for the team culture change. That is in the lock room and on the field. I don’t expect coaches kissing major donor butts on golf courses.

Was around in the 80’s (and 70’s). Had season tickets for 35 years (81-2015is). Now beaten down but not broken yet. But I have been conned into how good we should be the last few years and my expectations are low. Hoping to look competent and prepared on the field and hope it is as much fun as the early eighties were.

I am bout to be 37 in 5 days.

Only beat Bama once in my 30s so far and then I was just barely 30.

I am about grizzled as frick.

In a way, my fandom has cooled more due to NIL, realignments and the like than to Auburn's woes.

^will this sort of shallow support of all teams in general?

I use to know every player’s number and hometown on our football team. Other than Atkins and Brown, Cobb and maybe a few others, I’m unfamiliar with our roster/depth chart.

I’m getting older so I guess it’s not as important to me as it once was, but the constant turnover makes it difficult.

None of my kids have any memory of us being good. And I am not getting excited enough to try to get them hyped, even in the preseason anymore. I will keep trying to fake it until we make it but I'll be depressed if this stretch ends the Auburn legacy in my line.

this is my biggest gripe. Going to Auburn games used to be a family affair; Aunts, uncles, cousins, grandparents. parents, siblings....Now its just me and my dad and even he is getting tired of making the trek every Saturday to watch the slop thats been put on the field.

The most entertaining (now, worrying) posts on woopig used to be the existential trauma of fans not wanting to inflict that on their kids.
