We also have 105 schollys now instead of the previous 85 right?
I think this is a good thing. you can give development kids a chance & it is only a scholly. Then you may have a raw nugget that by Junior season is a full fledged starter in your system. Or allows you to develop an undersized lineman. Yeah they may get a little money at another college but if you are a known developer it can allow you an advantage.

since we have 105 schollys and need all these WRs we need to go back and get THE GENTRY (fan favorite)

Um uh......that baby steps thing.
Tenn is 11-14 against top 25 teams.....................
We are 3-21.
Id settle for a winning season, any winning season at this point.

Heupel is 11-14 against top 25 competition, most of those wins coming in one season
Hmm, I wonder what person was coaching the offense during that one season, that wasn't there on Heupel's staff for all the rest of the seasons after that where they struggled with top 25 opponent?
Hmmm, maybe that fact may have something to do with people trusting Golesh with WR evaluations and offensive evaluations in general?
We definitely need some more good news on OL transfers, and are going to have major issues if we don't get 5-6 good ones. But any complaints about recruiting too many TE and WR is kinda crazy. Both spots have pretty much sucked for us for a while, despite supposed talent. so I'm not going to give Golesh grief for getting everybody he wants there.

Mike McDaniel let go at Miami, I bet he would've been a great HC at the college level, but I'm sure some other team will want him at the NFL level

As Weagle25 said, that message was specifically to those who are freaking out saying we are gonna run a 1 lineman 3 TE 6 WR and Brown.
However with respect to your comment. In year 1 with Heupel HC Golesh OC Tennessee had a top 9 offense. Year 2 same coaching staff jumped to the top overall offense in the country. Year 3 Golesh leaves to become HC at USF… Tennessee finished with the #19 ranked offense 1 spot behind mighty UAB and coincidentally 2 spots behind Golesh year 1 at USF.
That part is important. USF had won 4 games in 3 years under Goleshs predecessor, Jeff Scott. And in year 1 he had them with a better offense than Heupel.
Year 4 Tennessee’s offense finishes 15th Year 5 Tennessee finally starts to recover from losing Golesh and finishes 8 in offense while USF finished 3rd.
It took years for Tennessee to recover losing Golesh. And they still haven’t fully. Meanwhile Golesh has had a higher ranked offense than Heupel in 2 of his 3 seasons as a head coach.
We finally have a coach that has an actual history of offensive production and development that the players would run through a brick wall for.
Forgive me if I actually have optimism for the first time since 2017.

Should we give him the Chaz Ramsey treatment for popping off on his way out the door? Partly kidding. Partly cereal

They are falling off a cliff. Maybe they see it, but they certainly arent openly admitting it.

We better get someone committed at OL fast though

Feel your pain… but I’m sure if us dunces can see this the professions are putting in overtime hours. … still smarts to be in the dark but maybe there’s big boys who don’t require attention as long as they’re paid.
