I hope the Auburn PTB don’t catch whatever the South Carolina boosters have.

If there is any job that will drive you to drink, it's Auburn. He doesn't need this level of stress.

So in other words...we don't have a clue who would be the best coach for Auburn...

It's going to be someone, eventually, that none of us saw on the radar...It's the way we do things sometimes.

First, the PTB and Green have to pull the trigger...and it would be Green's biggest decision ever.

I’m warming up to Campbell. Winning consistently at Iowa State is really tough to do. His biggest question mark is whether he can recruit - which is a big one.

All I know is we have a HUGE TV in the south end zone.

Word is 2021 hype vide features Ashford and Simpson hit favorite “Solid” with a Coach Bitchtits Mcfrickface voicing over various orations like “Great week of practice”, “getting our edge back”, and that all time fan favorite, “No doubt.”

2021 promises to be another “Solid” season for Sweatervest so order your season tickets now!

There’s a better chance of me banging Margot Robbie, bro.

That will never happen.

Cristobal isn’t at the top of my list, but you’re going out on a very weak limb here. He took over a new pile of shite and turned them into winners. He had one bad year.
So which year are you talking about as this is his record there...if the below of your idea for one bad year...hmmmm which one was it? I look at his conference record due to being about the same level
Overall /Conference
2007 FIU 1–11 / 1–6 7th
2008 FIU 5–7 / 3–4 T–5th
2009 FIU 3–9 / 3–5 6th
2010 FIU 7–6 / 6–2 T–1st W Little Caesars Pizza
2011 FIU 8–5 / 5–3 4th L Beef 'O' Brady's
2012 FIU 3–9 / 2–6 T–8th
FIU: 27–47/ 20–26

The last one obviously. I like how you ignore the fact that FIU has only been a program since 2002 when they went 5-6 and then proceeded to go 0-35 the following four years and then he took over. FIU was probably the worst job in the country, and worse than most D2 jobs.

Got it so if you think 2-6 conference record is good...I don't know what to tell you. His best year was his 4th and then went down hill from there and they were all of his recruits. Granted FIU wasn't good before he got there but if he was such a great coach they wouldn't have fired him. I kept up with him there and to me he wasn't a good coach there. Just because it might have been the worst he had time to bring it back up and he peaked and went back down. I posted earlier his time at FIU and Campbell at Toledo for a comparison. I just happen to disagree with you that he was a good coach there. Most of that success came with TY Hilton & Anthony Gaitor there. TY was a great player that bailed him out a lot.

That’s the year I said would be considered a bad year.

So downhill means winning more games? He had one “downhill year”

Toledo average 8.3 wins per year from 2002-2006 and 6 wins the five year prior to Campbell getting there. Hard for me to even put those two programs in the same realm.

I’m not saying he was Jesus at FIU, but I have a hard time calling him a bad coach based off his time there. Two of the top four years in the programs history came under him.

Yeah you may need to go look at their record...
FIU Reocrd Considering he was their second coach, I believe Butch Davis has had a better season overall than he did and tied his conference record...we can just disagree with his time at FIU. But if you want to put it out there about toledo and campbell then I would have to point at OU and the same for Cristobal..IMO Campbell has done the better job.

Agreed

FYI I also really like Campbell at would probably put him above Cristobal on my list. I think he’s probably the best football mind of any of the candidates. Still TBD on his recruiting ability, but he’s definitely a winner.

It has to be a home run hire like a Bob Stoops being the last 2 hires they made were Chizik and Gus.

Or you could go a different route with less money like Jamey Chadwell who also has a unique offense that seems to be working, new twist on the triple option.

So he can retire as soon as he gets it right

. . . and then we can do this all over again.
