We should hire one now with the understanding that we can only pay him 2 million a year for three years. Help us with Gus' buyout. If they do great and leave in three years, great, hire the next guy for 2 million, become a training ground.

If the good ole boy network has anything to do with the hiring process then Rhett Lashlee is your next head coach.

Nah, there would be way too much backlash with that. Allen Greene wouldn't go for it either.

Of course now we got Steven Leath to deal with so he'll probably sidestep Greene and any search committee and offer Steve Spurrier a lifetime ironclad contract or some shite

We're about to fire a HS coach we definitely don't need to hire another one.

No No NO. First Auburn would go after a more experienced coach from a top Power 5 conference.

Anything else would be like starting all over...and a guess, especially with these 2 coaches..

If Dave Aranda keeps trending upwards as a DC, then I wouldn't mind giving him a look. Same with Holgorsen, although at this point I'm liking the idea more of having a defensive HC.

I think being in WVU is somewhat limiting to Holgorsen. If he were in more fruitful recruiting grounds, it may make all the difference.

That's what I'm thinking. If holgorsen had our recruiting area I think with his offense he would be a great fit for Auburn

You do realize that he has not had a losing season at freaking UAB. UAB has only had 3 non losing season in thier history.

I will never understand the obsession with these dudes just because of ties to the state Auburn sits in

Legit though. I would not hate this hire. Dude can coach. I get it would be a risk and everything, but he is about as legit as they come to offensive coaching and passing attacks.
