Daniel's at least throws it away sometimes. The line is atrocious. The sad thing is there's been zero improvement from game one until now. Im surprised the offensive line coach wasn't fired with freeze just cause.
I dont foresee Auburn hiring anyone thats an ultimate home run. See the past two coaching hires. They will bring in a retread Coach that held a clipboard for pat dye in 1986 because he has "Auburn ties". They seem to refuse to hire anyone with a decent background unless they played for ,against or with something attached to the SEC. There were several available coaches during the last hire (rhule, cignetti, etc) that would have been much better hires but leave it to Auburn to Bring in a guy that beat Saban 15 years ago. I dont have a dog in the fight but if you think Auburn is bringing in some juggernaut coach.....prepare thy anus for disappointment
I dont see durkin as a no brainer. But if he can turn around the team over the next few games and is given the ability to hire a good offensive staff then why not? We aren't getting a lanning or Ryan day type coach at this point. The other names being thrown around, summeral, Kelly, jimbo...I would rather take a chance with durkin than hire a lateral transfer and lose half the roster.
If durkin does well the next three games give him the keys and let's ride. It's obvious the players love him. Give him the ability to hire a great offensive coordinator, oline coach, and someone to recruit and develop a Flippin QB. Give him a raise and an incentive based contract and see what happens. Hey it could be worse we could still have Freeze or Harsin

I dont care who they hire as long as they can coach. No harsins, weekend golfers, etc. I like the enthusiasm Durkin has with his players. You can see it week end and week out they play their tails off for him. If we could get an offense coach with the same drive and a freakin offensive line coach Auburn may be a pretty good team. Freeze never seemed to take any blame. I dont doubt the guys liked him but he just didn't seem like he had much drive this year.

Maybe see how Durkin does the next few games. See if he could bring in someone like Kendall Briles to run the offense
Auburn should bring in Tim Polasek and Dan Larson from North Dakota State. They are both younger coaches and seem to know how to win football games. Take a gamble on some coaches that can motivate and develop players that aren't connected to Auburn or any booster in any way shape fashion. New outside blood with free reign to do what they need to win games. Maybe they would be onboard with keeping DJ Durkin as defensive coordinator. Probably wouldn't break the bank either

I dont understand why it has to be a coach with ties to auburn etc. That hasn't been successful in the past. Bring in someone different and give them a chance. Auburn replaces coaches every 3 years anyway. Maybe you get lucky and hit lightning in a bottle. The retread route is getting ridiculous. There were multiple good coaches available when hugh was hired but for some reason they picked him. Maybe they were all on ashley madison together or something.

Keep DJ Durkin and give this guy a call:

Tim Polasek. 23-2 at North Dakota State. Has coached at Wisconsin, Iowa, and Wyoming. Also coached offensive line. Maybe he could help Auburn learn how to block
Probably get him fairly cheap too!

Freeze or having daniel Carson kick you in the nuts?
I wish they would just bring in either coach from south Dakota state or north Dakota state.....those guys at least know how to win and you could probably get them pretty cheap
Defense is still playing hard. If we had a offensive coach with durkins enthusiasm they might play a little harder
Is it our qbs or predetermined receiver?
I haven't seen our offense run a slant or any crossing routes in years....lol.

3rd down and long equals a huge sack every single time. It's like they just open the flood gates!
The people who hire the coaches in Auburn only pick SEC retreads and refuses to pick a coach who wins and develops players. Auburn went out and got some offensive linemen that are no better than last year (Thornton). Our qb whisperer must be semi retarded. Playcalling looks like something you see at a Thursday night junior high game

Roll with Daniel's next game. He seemed to make good decisions
