I feel like we would be replacing one offensive retard with another. Kiffin's record is horrible and his character is worse. Definitely not what Auburn needs

Kiffin has some skeletons in his closet for sure. I can’t see him being a coach at a major school in the MeToo era.

Or maybe get a coach with a decent record. I know he did well last year but hes 3-3 with wins over air force, old dominion, bethune cookman. Those schools scored 88 points on him. Auburn can do better

Yep, that's a great plan. Single millionaire, who like to chase tail, given the keys to a major college campus. What could go wrong?

I don't hate Kiffin or anything, there is just no reason whatsoever for Auburn to hire him. He's not a Bruce Pearl waiting for a shot at redemption. He's a guy with mostly mediocre results and a big, controversial personality.

If he was highly successful at every stop but just immature and had baggage, it might be worth discussing. But that's just not the case.

Kiffen is a joke. Of course, so are we right now. We change coaches every few years, pay tens of millions in buyouts and have zero stability at all.

My personal opinion is we fire Gus, have two consecutive very mediocre recruiting classes and have 3-4 years of 7-6 or similar and then go from there.

Why not just keep Gus if that’s what you want to do?

Y'all are killing me! Kiffin is a great offensive mind that has shown he is not scared to change or innovate his offense with the times. The UT team he inherited was a mess and they were pretty dang tough by the end of the year(beat the pants off UGA). The way he left UT was bad, but he would tell you that, one of those learning moments. USC was literally in the middle of sanctions and they were impatient and quit on him.

Bama OC we all saw the results, and FAU he has taken a bottom feeder and made them some what relevant.

Give me Kiffin and keep T-Will on staff all day!

I will say, Kiffin made Hurts look like an NFL QB. I have little doubt Kiffin would fix the offense and develop QBs. My only reservations are the defense (would he keep most of the defensive staff?) and Joey Freshwater. All it takes is him being an idiot one night (past or present) and a girl speaking up about it.

Gus was a great offensive mind too. If Kiffin came to Auburn I seriously doubt any of the current coaches would stay. If he brought his fau staff apparently their defense is horrible. It would be a decent offense with crappy defense all over again. At least bringing in a guy like bill Clark or Dave aranda you would stand a better chance retaining some of our current staff (Steele, t-will,garner). Bill Clark has a winning record at every level of his career. I know a lot of you guys like Kiffin, I just don't see it. His personality would end up hurting Auburn in the long run.

Gus was a great offensive mind in his system which he wont change out of, Kiffin has gone from a traditional pro style offense to full spread. He isnt afraid to adapt and innovate. I can see T-Will staying because of Auburn.

I'd also be totally down for Brent Venables.

Has anyone mentioned Seth Littrell? I honestly don't know much about him, but what he's done at North Texas is impressive.

The fact that Venables hasn’t already taken a head coaching position concerns me. He’s had chances. The fact that he has stayed to serve under Dabo may mean he lacks a bit of the Alpha spirit that you need to be a HC. There’s plenty of great coordinators who made crappy head coaches.

Same could have been said about Kirby Smart...
