Whats going on baws? Saturday night, been working in my shop all day. Having a rita tonight and waiting on dinner (meatloaf) to be finished.

I think its time we get together and catch up;. Season starting soon. Actually It is sneaking up on us. Been very busy this off season. Probably my busiest 7 month period in a long time. I know I was suppose to be slowing down but I just dont think that is gonna happen....

Hope you are all doing well.

been dealing with a wife with pneumonia these past few weeks, she was hospitalized for four days (after a 12-hr ER visit)

fortunately she is well on the road to recovery, should be starting back to work next week

word of advice to everyone: it doesn’t matter how good your insurance is - whatever you do, do your damndest not to get sick

when you’ve got hospital personnel telling you “the system is broken”, believe them

Hope she stays on the mend. That shite is nothing to mess around with...

Man it has been my way to stay off meds. 50 years old and still on ZERO meds.

My wife works for the hospital and will tell you the same. Plus, my dad is 83 and going through lots of health issues right now. They are just bouncing him around killing the VA system for cash with him.

Glad to hear she is on the mend. My dad seems to go from one thing to another. I feel for him.

Boat is down right now. I broke the axle on my trailer and they wont get the part till the end of next week so It wont be repaired until the 11th. I had to cancel 7 charters. Very expensive. $2500 repair and almost 5K in charters missed.

Fortunately I have plenty of SpotSticker orders to work on to keep the lights on and keep me busy. But it sucks for the boat to be down and have to cancel trips

I will probably swap boats this fall. Time to move on to a new boat.

I have three options right now for factory deals. Tidewater (My existing boat), Skeeter and Pathfinder. Id really like to run the pathfinder 2600. I just am not sure how good the deal is right now. I am working on that with them. That boat is very nice and top of the line with bay boats. But its also the most expensive

I have a "in" with Skeeter. The dealer I dealt with in Georgia is the #1 Skeeter dealer in the country and can get me a great deal. They have a 2550 that I am liking. I just need to go see one. Cant find one in my area.

Then I can stay with my existing company and just get the same boat I have now which has been perfect for running my charters and I know everything about it. IT is the lowest cost option and probalby the lowest impact.

I have a few months to work on this then I will put my boat "(2023") up for sale. I dont think I will have any problems selling it. Its in great shape and loaded with all the options.

I would order a all white boat with white Yamaha 350 on all and all with full fiberglass T Top. The Tidewater probably has the most bang for the buck but the Pathfinder is probably the best made with the best resale. Id probably keep the boat 24 months then sell it and rebuy. That has always been my time period other than the boat I have now. Ive had it longer.

Pathfinder

Skeeter 2550

Tidewater. I would get it with a full T top

Pouring again here this morning at 5am. I swear we are all or nothing. It didnt rain here for 18 months. We have been in the worst drought for this area in 30 years and now, it just wont stop raining.

I think it has rained 10" in the last week or so. My pond behind my house was 7 feet down and now its over full. All my plants and flowers outside are turning yellow. Just keeps coming every single day. And of course we are the lightning capital of the world so we get that too

Not complaining. Just crazy how it just wont stop.

Water's good, rain is fun, and this

will make you wetter.

Retired in June and after two different weeks of sailing and another two weeks of rowing a cataraft in Utah I can attest that working sucks. Add in a month of rain in the summer and you can drop 10 lbs. Did forget that garden planting in March would require giving away produce when away in summer. But that's a very good problem to have.

And IM ready for football to get fun again.

My son’s OL coach was Izavion “Too Tall” Miller’s OL coach at Southwest CC.

That pathfinder is pretty

Do you trailer yours and store it at a lot or are you dry docking it?

I think I’m going to start looking next spring. Gotta sort out some of the logistical details first though

I’m just staying busy and getting old.

Ready for football season to see if we are a scrappy bunch. I don’t think this team is loaded with elite talent but has some hidden talent. I’m making no predictions on the season because I have zero clue how Brown and the OL will perform in the SEC.

I’ve been off the board for a while just focusing on other stuff. But I’ll be back more as the season goes along.

Damn glad to see you checking it, Corch!

“Hope springs eternal” going into August training camp with 1st kickoff just a few weeks away.

Even though we’re breaking in our 4th HC in the past decade (not including 2 other interim head coaches in the same span), I’m praying shite’ll finally stick to the wall this go’-round and we turn the corner on this Bitch

Staying busy & getting old” you say?

Screw that noise…I’m more about staying old & getting busy!!

WAR-DAMN !!

Howdy all, looking forward to the season coming up. Cautiously optimistic that we actually have a good football coach and the future looks bright. On a personal note I’ve had a rough few weeks, had to have IV antibiotics back in May to clear up a ear infection and then had surgery in late June on the ear and now I have to go back on the IV antibiotics again. Fun times.

Yea, I really like it. We will see what kind of deal they give me on one then I will make an order.

I trailer it. My boat storage is about 5 miles from the ramp that I launch from. Its a great place. Its actually a RV storage so its covered, I have power, lots of wash down stations and free ice for my trips. I use about 80 pounds a day so I basically pay for the storage cost with the free ice

I assume you dont have a tow vehicle? Thats a biggie. Rack storage is very costly and inconvenient. If you ever want to talk boats, just give me a hollar. I can help. I have been through the ringer with boats.

I typically order my boats pretty stripped because I have such good connections with the accessories dealers. I typically purchase and install these items myself to same money. Most of them I am on a 50%off plan.

Power Poles x2
Stereo system (this is a biggie for me since I go all out)
Electronics /Antennas/transducers (Will be Garmin this time)
Batteries (all lithium for me)
Battery charger
Trolling motor
Radio (Marine)
Radar
Network system (Nema) to connect everything together

I may let Pathfinder do a couple of these things depending on the price. We will see

I can tow… up to a point. I’ve got a Tacoma

For pathfinder, the 2005 TRS meets my needs a little more. It’s one I’ve looked at in-person, but it’s a couple years old. There’s a few for sale around me

I’m making my prediction. 9-3.

Felt a little nip in the air outside tonight. Drinking some EH Taylor and grilling an 8 lb pork

Let's go! Offseason is almost over. I've been trading music gear the last 6 months or so as I tend to do every year. The thing is, other than a cabinet I want but don't need, I've got everything just like I like it and have no wants. So, now I'm ready to dive into football. You folks all have a lot of cussings coming to you, maybe. What if we kill it though? Instead of cussings, we will be War Eagle! hugs all around. Will be a very nice change.

And you all need to get on board with my boy Sollie. There will be no Sollie slander tolerated here.

I've also started listening to some of the Auburn Podcasts out there, which I never did before. Brad Law is great. I kinda like Blackerby even though I don't always agree with him. I'm ok with Kyle Rush and Montgomery Legend Darrell Dapprich as well.
