Lanier… went striper fishing for the first time this weekend up at the Cumberland River in Tennessee. I think I may be hooked. Landed a 25, 24, 21 and 17 lber. What a damn blast. It was hot as hell but man that was some of the best fun I’ve had in a while fishing.

Nice, all three look longer than my boat.
Accidentally did a 38hour fast this week. Slept through a 12hour intermittent Monday so kept it up after not feeling hungry. ... whod athumk'it. The mental acuity was off the charts. So dove into a 72 hour one meal later. Not. so sure about the mental clarity from this one. It's amazing how the hunger goes away and then barely returned but for short periods. (results - jury's still out)

My boat trailer was down for a week or so. Needed a new Axle so I was dry. Got back out this week and a friend from GA came down and spent a few days with me. Got some nice grouper and one nice Goliath as well. Dont catch a lot of those.

Only one I know and can think of off the top of my head is Chex. I think Jang already put in a request for him in that thread. I don’t know all the details of what happened, but I don’t think Chicken is in any hurry on letting him back on. He seems to ban any of his alters as soon as they get found out too.
Can’t think of anyone else that I’ve seen disappear lately.

Gag Grouper season opens in 8 days. Cant wait. We usually only get 14 days of Gag season per year. This year, Big Ron got us all of September.
Had a offshore charter today. Took a family of 5 out in the gulf 10 miles and the smashed them... What a great trip for a 8, 10 and 14 year old with mom and dad....
Taking my son out tomorrow about 30 miles then I have another Charter on Sunday. Seas are calm and we are fishing.

We are out about 25 miles in the gulf today. A couple more hours of fishing then I’m hitting the pool this afternoon. Charter tomorrow then I get a few days off.
Man the beaches look so different there.

Atlantic coast is a different vibe for sure. We met my parents around St Augustine a few months ago and it’s very similar to the gulf beaches from my childhood, except you can drive on them
They re-nourish often over here, so depending where you are in that cycle, it’s fluffier whiter sand.
