Finally worked up my courage and got the hip replacement. I am one month post op today. The recovery is no joke but not as bad as I had thought it would be.
I am looking forward to football! I hope our Tigers have a great season.

I assume you are talking about playing gear but I am working on a deal today to upgrade my processor for my system. I upgraded the amp about 6 months ago and now its time to upgrade my music processor.
Emotiva has a trade in program so Im trading in one for a better one. Will be glad to get that done

Wow. That is a tough surgery to get through. My dad had that as well. Hope you are recovering well LRB.

Yeah, basses, amps, etc. I just use my QSC K12.2 monitor at home for listening to music.

Thank you. My dad had his hip replaced in the mid 90s. He went to the sports medicine hospital in Columbus, Georgia to have his done. Very nice place. His doctor had performed orthopedic surgeries for some of the Auburn players.
My case was a little different. My right hip had collapsed and had a hairline fracture. Surgery was my only hope to walk normally again. I put it off for a year but finally summed up my guts and had it done. I'm working hard on PT. I keep telling myself that if Auburn gets good again, I will be able to travel to JHS for a game. It has been a few years since I was there.
Best of luck with the new boat selection/purchase. I hope you get a great deal.

The coaches keep telling me that my son can play at the highest level, that he should have no less than 10 D1 offers from “big schools” by December. I’m keeping my excitement tamed, I’m a I believe it when I see it type. He’s balling out so far so we will see. Hopefully the next couple of months will be exciting. I will start another thread soon for those that are interested in the journey. Who knows he might be an Auburn Tiger, the system he’s in translates, it’s a go fast 10 personnel offense.

Series 400 with a 215 cabinet they weighed more than i did
i’ve since learned that you can get just as much sound out of much smaller, lighter gear

I don't know that I've ever been in a music store that didn't have an old Peavey Bass 400 in the used section. They must have sold a ton of those amps back in the day.

pete, i’ve been doing the same as you lately - trying to sell off some unused gear i’ve had laying around gathering dust
i’m so happy with my current rig i dont feel the need to keep any of the old stuff anymore

I think it is a great idea. It's a silly type thing, but stuff like this really can help guys gel and just get better bonds. Definitely a good way to set a tone for camp too.
