Pett’s having a rough start but we know he can shoot it.
Looks a lot like when he would come in and run the point early in the season last year. The offense grinds to a halt, has no rhythm and everyone just seems to stand around until the shot clock becomes a factor.
TP is much better when he can just be a scorer and not having to worry about the offense running through him and distributing. I think Steven really needs to identify another option to run point for a while and let TP focus on pure scoring. Not all the time, but at least have it in the bag if the offense needs a jump start.

That was a really pretty shot from Bashir.

Steven Pearl 3-0 as a HC. Undefeated national championship season coming.

D played much better tonight. A lot more intensity.
Opurum looked good.
Hall played better team ball. He may be our best player.
SWA continues to impress.
A good night for the good guys. We needed it.
War Eagle!!

Didn't expect 95 at the end.

We are gonna have some weird scores this year. We will shoot a shite ton of FTs. I predict 35 FTs per game

Yeah, wouldn't be surprising. Between Hall, Freeman, and SWA we are going to foul out a ton of our opponents in the paint.
We just need to improve that free throw shooting (and 3 point shooting).

3-3 would be really good from that group of games the way we've been playing. I'm hoping for 2 wins at least.

What a schedule!
At some point, we will have a good night from 3.

We need at least 2 wins from that bunch. Not sure how good they all are to be honest, but almost losing to Bethune was something else. They lost to Miami last night by 40.
Our guard play has got to get better and we need 14 to protect the rim for 15 minutes per game. Need a healthy Murphy too.
We have a lot of guys that play below the rim. Hall feels like an NBA player from the 80's. He's going to get numbers. Murphy will too. Need our 1's, 2's and 3's to play better. Not sure what to think about Jovic yet. He looks like a 3 having to play inside. Not sure how that will work out. SWA is fun to watch. Freeman has some potential.

I think Hall, Pettiford, Murphy, and Overton are all good to very good and will be able to compete with the great teams on our schedule.
SWA and Freeman I really like but want to see it against good teams before I crown them as ready.
Not getting the warm and fuzzies on anything I have seen from Bashir, Jovic, and Magwood other than that Bashir has a pretty stroke when he is wide open. Opurum looked pretty decent last night but I just don't think he can hold his own against upper level bigs.

I like the way this team is patiently passing. I was impressed with Oporum and Overton last night for the first time. Hopefully our 3’s start falling. I can’t see Pettiford being this cold for long. He is shooting 18% from 3 on he season. That will improve.
Hall is impressive. Dude knows how to get to the rack for sure. By far our best player so far.

Pettiford just seems a little disinterested right now. He was like that last year against similar opponents. He hits another gear when the lights are bright I believe, but we need more night in night out consistency.

Seems like we were rotating on defense better last night too. Hard to tell vs. a shite opponent but you can tell they are working on it, which is a positive sign.

I know! Hopefully we can steal a couple among that 6 and win the others that we should win because the SEC looks strong this year. Reaching 20 wins could be a challenge.

Seems like he's trying to be more of a pass first guy early anyway. He's had some really nice passes that our guys weren't ready for. I'm sure he'll play point in the NBA and that's what he's working on.
