I think I remember you being early and vocal about Harsin. Don't hurt your arm, patting yourself on the back.

I plan on buying the domain www.fire_____.com for our next coach as soon as he's announced. I'm not missing the boat again.

if that is actually what happened, we can deduce two things:

1)Harsin and staff are pretty tone deaf when it comes to race and the South
2) Mason is s fricking moron if that’s his rationale for quitting.

This was from Summer 2020, so long before he headed out. Highly doubt this was the final straw but also doubt it was the last racially insensitive thing said or done in recruiting.

I hope no one is actually proud they were right early. Just some saw the warning signs.

But jimmy’s and joe’s wins games not X’s and O’s. Scheme can make a difference in equally matched teams.

So whoever it is Harsin, Prime, Aranda, Joe Blow, need elite recruiters early on his staff after 3 years if you need higher level coaching start replacing some of the recruiters with better coaches.

The perfect match is great coaches and great recruiters.

What went down in Feb/Mar was all on Harsin. Mason/Bobo left for a valid reason after what was said in a Staff meeting related to recruiting. Mason reported it and got the hell out. Had Mason signed a piece of paper Harsin would be out on his arse with no paycheck. Players found out what went down. That was the reason for mass exodus in the spring. Coaching is like a fraternity.. dirty secrets are most kept between the brothers.
The BOT and others are who were able to keep Tank here, not Harsin.
The BOT including Rane did not try and run Harsin off. The issue came to them. They know what went down and trying to clean it up.
I don't think Rane and the BOT were involved in the hiring process of Harsin all on Green. But bet your arse Rane is involved with this next hire.
There have also been some isues with members of his family. So much more that we will never know about. This is all on Harsin.

I’m gonna have to follow your posts more closely. Ain’t you the guy that complained about Harsin not recruiting some Georgia player?

I really hoped he would work out. The first two games last year, I thought we looked so disciplined and Nix looked so much better.

I bought the fool's gold.

I support whoever the coach is and since Harsin is still our coach I support him. I didn't think this was a novel concept but if you need someone to point at by all means proceed

I support the Auburn players. The coach is a hired gun and he must earn his support. How you can support someone that is running the program down is beyond me.

I always said he deserves the chance to prove himself.

And he’s had that chance.

But if there are people who didn't support him at least in the beginning, they need to check themselves.

Why? Because we didn't buy into the hype, believe the BS, drink the Kool Aid? Because some of us knew that this was going to happen and were powerless to stop it? All I have ever wanted is what is best for Auburn. This is a setback our program didn't need.

Two straight years of awful recruiting and utter disorganization on the field isn’t proof of that?

Still am a Harsin supporter. Last I checked he was AU’s football coach. If he continues to suck, then he will get fired. He talks a good game but hasn’t been able to deliver on much of anything.

Of course, he should have never been hired if the powers that be were going to f’ him over from the beginning. The whole thing is f’ing dumb. Like inbred Alabama shite dumb.

Let’s hire a coach and then sabatoge him.

I didn't trust his resume (losing multiple games he shouldn't have like to army) but I thought his serious personality would translate into seriousness about his job. I didn't prefer him but tried to look for something that might make him workout but I had no clue he couldn't/wouldn't recruit. Boise must have brought a majority of the recruits on their own.

Now it seems he just doesn't have a real personality. He just seems like he doesn't care about anything (I know he knows he's fired and probably doesn't care about winning but he seems like a body their giving a written speech). I don't see a single positive thing he brings to the table.

The next step on Jangs time line from earlier is the dreaded players only meeting.

Hi, my name is AUBTIG47 and I was previously a Harsin supporter. Was very over the previous regime and welcomed the odd non good ole boy hire. Not happy with the way the season ended last year, nothing to hang the hat on that implied progress. Signing day this year, wtf?? Didn't care for the personal attacks, fricking cheap shots. Was still hopeful going into this season, 8 point win over SJSt? And then after that shitshow last week, nope, no longer a Harsin supporter.

Here, I was going to support him for a few years. He was an outsider, I liked that. Appears it won't work out. My initial support did nothing to change anything that happened.

Do you want to meet up at Sonic and talk about it over some tots or something?
