I wasn't so much a hater. He just seemed like all hat and no cattle to me. I couldn't see young men wanting to play for him. It wasn't personal. I hate where things are now and wish he'd have proven me wrong.
I liked the hire at first. It seemed out of the box. My first concern was the OC and DC hire...my concerns grew. The more he talked the less I liked him. He seemed worried about sounding like he was a football coach more than actually making decisions that a football coach should make.

The word is out now from another poster. This HC is prejudice as hell and time for him to go. Additionally, he has a family member who likes athletes. I will leave at that until that particular story breaks.
There are some things I hope never come out for the sake of the University.
Look, I am not here trying to be some big important person. I love the school like each of you. Things come my way and they are generally spot on.

This is silly…
Short of hiring Bobby Petrino, anyone should support an AU coach when they’re first hired (and I hope they wish them to have all success in the world).
Post should be “if you’re still a Harsin supporter, show yourself.”
I was on board with the hire because ADG went outside the AU family and I think that was a relief for everyone.
Well, it didn’t work.
All the noise around the program (alleged affair, etc) went WAY beyond JetGate and boosters displeasure with Gus. Harsin has also shown he doesn’t “get” recruiting in the SEC and very questionable coaching.
I’ll give him a bit of a pass on recruiting when he first got here because of trying to recruit during height of Covid and the portal and NIL have totally changed landscape.
That said, it’s time to go based on National Signing Day flop, poor play on the field and his hiring/firing/coaches leaving.
I don’t know who we should hire, but whoever it is he needs to make an immediate impact. Boosters will only stay at bay if Auburn is winning, and if not, they’ll keep meddling. And before you know it, we’re Tennessee a decade ago.
