I think we have a legit shot, him and DVD are very close, but I think A&M will just flat outspend us for him.

I do like the up tick in commits. If your class is not set by July, you have major red flags within your program. And you cannot build through the portal. The 6th year guy will not be a thing in the future, and evaluating HS talent is still needed. Probably more than ever. Long gone are the days when Saban could just over pay for depth. You have to hit on the 3* and 4* guys.

Him and Odour are definitely going to be good at the contested catch. Odour seems to be a really good blocker and guy that does the dirty stuff on the outside, but we need time to develop for sure. Hall with the size and big play ability.
Mix in a guy like Simmons and potential Walden for some flash and you have a solid WR class, when we have a pretty young, talented room already.

Golesh is making moves like he know this is his one shot. I have no idea if we will be competitive this year but you can’t argue with the way he’s setting up his program. He is making all the right moves so far.

Definitely building for a solid future.
Next cycle we have to get some of the elite of the elite. We have of a bunch high upside projects in this cycle which is fine but our roster with this type class will be somewhere around 8-9 in the conference year over year. Need to be close to Top 5 unless we truly will out coach other teams which rarely happens.
Running back and OL are solid hauls. DL has the chance to be very good. WR lower middle SEC. LB good. DB a lot of bodies.
I need to watch a season of the offense at Auburn to judge TE. Are they glorified blockers, chain movers, or legit threats? I don’t know the answer to that

1. You might want to take another look at this class
2. We aren’t done
3. Considering our roster is true sophomore talent heavy, if that makes sense, this class sets us up nicely, with balance and emphasis on the line of scrimmage, especially being the OL.
4. We aren’t done

I have a buddy that coaches at Selma HS. He told me this kid really looks up to Duke and Eric Smith.
Just read that Duke Smith has been dismissed from the team.
That sucks.

Auburn wide receiver Duke Smith is no longer with the program, a team spokesperson confirmed to AL.com. He’s no longer listed on the Tigers’ online roster.
The reason for Smith’s dismissal was a violation of team rules, a source told AL.com.

Weird situation. He must have done something pretty bad or been a serial repeat offender.

Rejects is saying him and Kodi Burns don’t mesh well, haven’t meshed well and apparently Duke Smith got into it with another player and that was the final straw.
His brother is still on the team.

Interesting. Don’t hear much about guys not liking Kodi. Hate to hear it, super talented kid.

Kodi doesn’t play around. No nonsense kind of expectations.

It is probably just now dawning on him that NIL pay has stopped, when momma called and asked where the deposit was.
Brother will probably be released soon I would bet, no reason to take up a scholly.
Even if he is picked up now by another team he wont be of much use this season so he will come at a highly discounted rate, particularly given he was dismissed for cause.
So his little temper tantrum costs his whole family for life.
Hadnt thought about this in years. I remember standing in the front yard of our frat house chattin with one of our starting OL and asked him how things were going with the new coach Dye and he said, you would not believe who he just sent home (it was one of our best DL). That was the beginning of a huge culture shift in the team.
Its a business and you are an employee, not some pampered athlete.
