Speaking of competent coaches, how about the job former Razorback assistants Jeff Traylor and Barry Lunney Jr. are doing with the Roadrunners of the University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA)? For the first time in school history, the Roadrunners are ranked in the top 25 of both the Associated Press (24th) and the AFCA Coaches Poll (25th).

I saw they gave the UTSA RB 40+ carries in one of those games.

Barry will probably be our next OC, if he doesn’t get a head job.

I’ve been really surprised how well traylor has done at UTSA. It had to be maddening for guys like him and lunney who clearly have actual football knowledge to have to work under an imbecile like morris

It somehow feels to me like Loggains will be the next OC and that will probably be a big mistake.
It also feels like Lunney won't return to Arkansas to be anything other than head coach. I hope I'm wrong.

Who cares what he is doing down there. He was acting like a baby thinking the job should be his because of tenure
That's not how big time college football works bruh

It would be the most Arkansas thing ever for Lunney to be pissed off at us for not giving him the full time job after the 2019 season, and ultimately see him wind up somewhere like Auburn and commence to kicking our asses for a decade.

100% GD factual.

Or he could be the next Nutt.
Former QB.
Assistant on one of the worst staffs in school history.
Success at a smaller school running an offense that wasn't seen during his time at Arkansas.
Support from large areas of the state makes dismissal problematic at best.

I’d really just like a decade break from someone with Arkansas connections coaching at Auburn. Is that too much to ask?

When he was the interim, he had that I shite my pants look on his face. He is a career assistant and never had any swagger. He would be a disaster hire.

Lunney doesn't have the gift of the grab and rub shoulders with people of big influence that Nutt did.
What Nutt did was impressive. He lasted way longer than he should and was the first head coach to survive two losing seasons in a row for the first time since the early 50s.

He also won’t be our head coach even if offered in the future, IMO.
