Nick Smith and about 10-15 other elite bball recruits were also all in the front row. Musselman hit it out of the park, too, this week.

This was a good night for us. Been a long time since we've felt like this.

Fan base showed out tonight. I don’t think the SEC can leave us stuck with Mizzou on rivalry weekend after that

I’m no way shape or form will our game against Mizzou ever be as electric as that stadium was tonight.

I'm reading the Surly Horns gamethread and I stumbled upon this gem of a comment.

"I'd straight suck a dick for us to get a first down on this next drive."

It was a beating. I know beatings in football, we've been on the receiving end of a few. That sort of televised game with that sort of crowd is going to turn some heads.

As that quote shows... the Texas fans know they were badly beaten. The recruits watching know they were badly beaten. The only people who didn't seem to realize Texas was badly beaten was the lousy announce team we were stuck with.

announce team

McElroy, "that was targeting. Arkansas is lucky they don't look at that."

Also McElroy, "that's a good no call PI on Texas. Let them play physical."

But yeah, we laid the wood to Texas, in a packed house, for a national audience. That was a good night.

Ole Greg grew up a Longhorns fan and I think it showed in the booth last night. He was probably fighting back tears when we kept gashing them for 6,7 a pop

I'm not ashamed to admit that I've spent the better part of the last 2 hours of my morning sipping coffee and reading the game thread on Surly Horns. I think that's the way God intended Sunday mornings to be enjoyed

I haven't felt this good since we beat Texas A&M in 1988 after having beaten Texas 4 weeks earlier, and we were 10-0 and were headed to play the Miami Hurricanes in Miami (which we almost won, and possibly would have played for the national championship if we had won)

I was a poor college kid sitting on the grassy knoll taking in whatever I could see of that A&M game. No money, no ticket, spotty vision of the game, and nothing but bliss

Was pretty amazing, changing through channels and getting praise for Arkansas instead of watch this collapse against a D2 school. Watch how unprepared to cover this trick kick off.
