He could have been under Sam.

Would have been Sam’s safety blanket, named coach in waiting and been done with this.

I keep seeing Sam will get another year. I'm actively cheering against us. I never thought I'd say that.

both good options. Hell they’ve already proven they can win at a basketball school

I like what he is doing, how is his recruiting?

I believe he was on top of that historic class at A&M.

A&M's recruiting is purely about money and location. The coaches are the least important part of that.

That said I still want Elko. What he's done at Duke so far is James Franklin like.

Arkansas will never 'offer whatever it takes'

They will always be a bitch program because of it.

Realistically, you have to call Jamie Chadwell or Lance Liepold or someone like that. Kaleb DeBoer probably won't even come now because he may go to the playoff with Washington.

Jonathan Smith from Oregon State is as legit as it gets, but he likely won't leave his Alma mater and he has zero southern ties.

Also still think its too risky to go with the South Alabama guy or someone that young with very little track record.

You've got to get an absolute offensive dynamo who is also a head coach who is proven to ascend and over 0erform a program.

Chadwell is that, but he also may have bigger suitors soon.

This is a good answer and would be my first call as AD.

Then you have to call Norvell and offer to throw the bank at him. Maybe he appreciates our top tier facilities and fan support more than the crap FSU has and also wants to come back home and coach in the SEC? There's several potential reasons you could lure him away, although it's very unlikely. I think we'll come to regret not hiring from Memphis when the job was open even more over the next few years

Chadwell would be another call I'd make right away

That's every "blue" state. It's not really blue, it's just the leaches in the big urban areas skewing the vote.

The more I watch the SEC the more I want Chadwell or another offensive guru type.

After watching Ole Miss tonight, I also dearly miss that Baylor/Briles offense.

One Briles for another

Don’t know how Art being on the sidelines would go for some. It’s already stirred some drama at Oklahoma.

Not saying he’s not a good candidate he’s just coming with some baggage.

Either way, two or three more losses and feelers will start going out. 4 or 5
more and Pittman will be gone. The hope would be Sam would just retire and make it all easier and leave the program in a much more stable situation.

Let’s not forget though, Anderson was coming off his 3rd post season appearance in a row and still got canned.
