I’d say Gus but he seems to be in retirement mode in Orlando.

He's a grandfather now with a sweet gig at UCF. Not really a ton of pressure. He's making 2 mil a year and he got 21 million when he left Auburn.

HE ain't jumping back into the frying pan of the SEC.

Auburn set him up for life when they canned him.

Hard to get up to get punched in the face when you sleep in silk sheets.

I think Sam makes it at least another year, so it's likely a moot point, but...

I'm curious if anyone can point to an up and comer type coach running an innovative offense? HUNH, spread, power spread, RPO - all that's been neutered by defensive adjustments and rule changes. All of that can still work, it's just not the advantage it was 10 years ago.

Bert-type power offenses have gone the way of the wishbone - just inferior offenses.

"Pro" style still relies on having great QB play.

Air raid is still sort of unique although a lot offenses have taken elements from it. It's had mixed results overall. Tony Franklin is a guy I'd be interested in, but he hasn't had an HC opportunity yet

Lenny is making 5.7 per as an OC. He may be an up and comer, but if we get him we will be paying the same as an established coach.

idc who we hire but we can’t be worried about money. We’re playing in the most competitive league in college football. If you want to compete it’s going to cost you

That's a 3 year deal. 1.8 million per year. 100k raise each year.

GJ Kinne seems to be a good coach, but only two years of experience.

Could recruit Texas hard. The problem is who does he bring in with him being so young.

Might not be a bad thing if it makes him hold on to guys like Jimmy Smith and Marcus Woodson.

Coaches typically don't hang on to many of the previous staff but there are some I wouldn't mind staying.

Honestly, I'd say our coaching staff really isn't that bad at the moment. I'd only get rid of Enos and Kennedy. Enos is a retread and poor fit; just an all-around lazy hire.

Switching offenses is tough and should show growing pains in the first season.

Bad move on Sam and it could cost him games. This isn't the time for that type of struggle in his fourth year.

Ford did the same back in 97. By the time the offense was beginning to get better, the season was over and it cost him his job.

Yep, that's what I'm afraid of with Pittman. I like him and want him to do well but damn what a poor hire. Enos' system completely negates the strengths of our best players.

Enos not getting Isaiah Sengeta more involved tell you all you need to know.

Yeah I definitely expected more of a Jared Cornelius role for him. That end-around against LSU was one of my favorite memories from the first time Enos was here
