How hard is it to win? Seriously? Especially when the money is there, which it is. We’ve got to stop making excuses and fricking show up and compete at least.

Great. We’re going to scapegoat the Admin and somehow not pretend like our mush mouth coach and Pittman on ozempic OC aren't actually a problem?

These clowns could barely put UNA away at home.

Kentucky spent $1M more than us on NIL and just won in college station, add OSU, Utah etc etc to the list.

They’re all losers. Going to have to burn it all down again.

Yep, but if we get an AD worth a damn it won't take long.

Hunter is really more worried about his rentals and HGtv style flipping of houses than his actual job.

I wonder if the BOT is planning a financial audit of the NIL funds. Hunter set everything up to be funneled to a general pool dispersed by the Athletic department.

Hunter has added director cup standing banners to Razorback Stadium (rubbing your nose in it).

I wouldn't be surprised to find that football has been well funded with resources redirected to women's sports and track to help bump up the results in the secondary sports to complete for the Directors cup.

I think Bones is talking about Silverfield and other candidates being told that Arkansas would be too half in the SEC for NIL, yet public reporting has them being last in the SEC with rumors of more money being available next year.

A new report is showcasing how we've increased our basketball budget significantly since 2018, most in the SEC.

Better breakdown here. #1 in SEC for basketball expenses, #3 for football.

Are you kidding me?

I haven't gone to a Razorback game for some years, so I haven't seen it.

But ho leee cow. What a pathetic thing to do.

They need to keep basketball where it currently is. It is the program others aspire to be. When Cal goes, we need the best coach and players money can purchase, and support like no other.

It wouldn't matter if we spent three times what we currently do on basketball on football.... Do we need more? absolutely... but not unless we get serious football program wide. Currently our assistants are a joke... mostly, our HC may be..., our AD definitely....

the entire football program needs an enema.

I don’t know if this is true, I have said multiple times Hunter is more worried about his place in the directors cup than football. If I can get 10 top Olympic sports by spending money in them that I should be spending on football, then my resume looks better when I try to get Sankey job or another conference commissioners job.

He fought against spending money so the ncaa or conferences would consider him. That’s why he didn’t pay Lane. He then fought NIL at every turn. All reports are he refuses to do any fund raising and forces his coaches to do that.

why exactly? What has the basketball team done in the last 6 years that the football team didn’t also do 15 years ago? Under Nutt we made a sec title game and were ranked high enough we would’ve made the cfp f it was around at that time and under Petrino finished with 2 top 10 rankings back to back seasons. Last I checked with all our resource dumping in basketball, and a championship caliber coach to boot, the best we’ve done is top 8. Not saying we should take money away from basketball, in fact I agree with you, don’t take anything away there let’s keep trying to compete for titles on the court, but why can’t we get back to being a top 20 football program? Historically I think we’re still around a top 25 team. I know a few years back I saw something that had us ranked 23rd historically as a football program. We don’t need this loser defeatist mind set in football. We can compete if we choose to.

What it means? It means you're under review and will likely be fired.

Those are very telling numbers, but I do believe it's possible to have both programs performing at a high level.

Florida and UCLA are going to field solid teams over the next few years, because they made solid coaching hires. They fare well in basketball, as well.

It's all about the coach. Get a great coach and the money will be there. I have no issue with the hoops spend. Cal produces.

Let me help you by highlighting SOME of the answer from your reply...

Under Nutt we made a sec title game and were ranked high enough we would’ve made the cfp f it was around at that time (But it wasn't) and under Petrino finished with 2 top 10 rankings back to back seasons. (That SEC was not even close to the current SEC, Same with Nutts) Last I checked with all our resource dumping in basketball, and a championship caliber coach to boot, the best we’ve done is top 8. (And FOOTBALL DURING THAT SAME TIMEFRAME?) Not saying we should take money away from basketball, in fact I agree with you, don’t take anything away there let’s keep trying to compete for titles on the court, but why can’t we get back to being a top 20 football program? (Because the playing field is not level, and we do not have the financial ability WILLING to make it so. What comes first, terrible coaches, or terrible financial status? It is completely systemic bro. Again, the program needs an enema) Historically I think we’re still around a top 25 team. (Now do the last 15 years???) I know a few years back I saw something that had us ranked 23rd historically as a football program. We don’t need this loser defeatist mind set in football. We can compete if we choose to.
We can, if we first take several enemas and get the crap out of the football system.

We need a huge amount of capital influx, new admin, new BOT, new system president, new coaches, and... READY for this... Many new fans. Because the old ones yearn for what once was, without paying the piper... It is not coming back bro... not without the above
