There's something about our culture that is just rotten. We don't have a system players buy into nor do we have inspiring leadership, you know like Utah or Ole Miss.
I don't know a lot about what has been going on up there these last few years, but it feels like most of the players are only here because it's the only SEC school they could get or it's just about the money. Most, not all, but enough to where it makes a difference, it seems.

It's now 63-28 Ruston as we decided to go for it on 4th and 5 from our 6-yard line.
I don't know why we wouldn't just kick a field goal as it's over. Our QB took a big hit on that drive, too, when dropping back to pass. Get the starters out.

Ruston had over 600 yards of offense as of late in the 3rd quarter. That's a video game stat.

No, we interviewed Eric Morris but our AD didn't want to wait until his season was finished. He was going to bring to Arkansas what he took to Okie State.
We also interviewed Will Stein (not sure what happened there) and Golesh. Sources here thought Golesh was the hire, but he chose Auburn once they found out that they weren't getting Sumrall. No surprise he picked Auburn over us as we don't have our shite together.
This is why everyone is so pissed about the hire. First one to fire a coach and last program to hire one.

I don't know anyone who was excited about the hire. I personally wanted Morris, who's now at OK State, since I didn't think we would get Golesh and knew we weren't getting Lashlee or Sumrall.

That's what was on TV in LA back in the 80s when I was a kid. I also liked the Dallas-based wrestling show that I would watch when I would visit my grandparents. I stopped watching it regularly around 10 when my older cousins made fun of me for watching it and filled me in on the fact that it was staged/fixed/fake.
AWA was on ESPN but none of the wrestlers had any real gimmicks and just looked like a bunch of random dudes in tights with no interesting characters or backstories.

Anyone with any power at the U of A has to know that a successful football program has the capacity to lift all boats in terms of revenue, right? It also helps attract more students.
If that's the case, then we are the PTB allowing this nonsense? Is it just HY making these hiring decisions alone and if so, who is backing him and why?

Not a rhetorical question, but it seems since we consistently make the most lackluster hires in the conference, who makes these hiring decisions because they sucked even before HY got here? Is it the BOD? Boosters? Why is it what we can never get it right (outside that one time with Petrino and that was mostly dumb luck)?
Since Petrino, we've consistently made the worst hires. State, KY, Vandy, SC even, all make better hires than we do on on a regular basis. It's like the powers that be just don't really give a shite about football,

I have several relatives who are Clemson alums. They appreciate what Dabo has done but he's stuck in the past and it's time to move on.
My brother in law said that when Morris was there the first time, he'd call a really good game the first half and and the second half would be a bunch of what the hell was that? plays. It's as if he got bored after halftime and would stray from what was working.
