I wear a couple of Ocean Blue shirts around the house on occasion I bought during the last two times I saw them. Terrible quality/super thin but I bought merch to support the band.

OP: congrats on the new Jazzmaster. I really like JMs and offsets in general.

True about Squiers--I think they're a great bang for the buck especially the Classic Vibes and Paranormals. The Offset Tele S/J and CV Starcaster are two of my favorite guitars.
What in the name of Carter Ashton Jenkins is going on around here?
Other than the ginger mullet and Bernard, it's a veritable who's-that of college football players.

I really don't know what to think. I just don't ever get my hopes up anymore. Several years of one and done in the playoffs will do that to you.

I hope whoever leaked this in Pittsburgh gets shitcanned.

I also hope we move on from Rodgers. We're not doing jack this year, so might as well rebuild.

Well, he'll be NFL ready after being at Iowa under Kirk Ferentz. Guy knows how to prepare lineman for the NFL. Has to have a good work ethic. They work the crap out of them at Iowa. Physical blocker. Should fit that hard nosed Steeler mentality.

Thanks for the info. I just finished reading that ESPN article and he seems really into doing his own thing and has excelled at whatever he's tried while also being a good dude.

Drafted a whole bunch of reaches and projects. For now no starters and all backups. Just awful. Bernard the only one who will contribute this year. So far.

frick yes!.We just drafted an OT from Iowa with a majestic mullet!

I’m a Steelers fan and I’m pretty cashed out after that pick. This has been an awful draft.

I'm not familiar with any of the players we've drafted. The only one that excites me a little is the Bama WR.Just a whole bunch of meh otherwise. .

Steelers Reddit is quite pissed about this.

We are all going to be so sick of Renegade by tomorrow afternoon aren't we?

Steelers fan and I've never liked the song to begin with.

I like what I've been reading about Bernard. Bama fans seem to love him.

I was gobsmacked when I saw this on stack at a nearby Spec's location here in Houston for $53. It was my favorite bourbon several years ago, but I gave up chasing bottles years ago as it was so hard to find without playing the stupid allocated bottle bs games. It's a fantastic sipper, along with Old Forrester 1910 and 1920. I believe Eagle Rare is a little easier to obtain these days as well and that's also another nice sipper along with lines of EH Taylor Small Batch.

If you're open to Scotch, Bunnahabhain 12 ($50) is the bees knees for me. I also dig Glenmorangie Lasanta. They're both pretty easy drinking and have a nutty/toffee like influence from being aged in sherry casks. If you're on a budget, Naked Malt ($30) from Famous Grouse is nice as well.

If you're open to peated (smoky) Scotch, Benromach 10 is really nice for around $45. Same for Ardbeg Wee Beastie for the same price point.

For Irish whiskey, Redbreast 12 ($58). It's sherry cask aged and is an easy sipper.

I'm a sucker for sherry casked whiskies.

Hog fans have PTSD. This team is playing well right now. We may not be great defensively, but our offense is rolling even when we aren't shooting great.

It's true. I just expect things to break bad for us. My first game as an Arkansas fan was a football loss to the Citadel. I was there when we won it all in basketball in '94 but Arkansas sports has mostly been repeated kicks to the balls.

That's a good frickin scotch.

Thanks, man. Glad you enjoy it, too. Was having some Naked Malt, but I wanted to celebrate with some smoke.
Popping open some Ardbeg Wee Beastie to celebrate.

I guess it's the bulkiness of the pads we had back in the 80s/90s when I played youth football up to high school, but it seems like players looked at lot larger then. And players weren't allowed to choose whether they wore pads or not--they were all required. And whatever happened to neck roll pads?
If we were to ever "drop down" a level, you would likely see a huge drop in enrollment.

I know you know this, but not all of our students are that studious and serious about their degrees. Big time athletics/campus life is a draw for many students in addition to whatever they're studying.

Thank you, all. These are all very helpful.

These friends are driving up from DFW as they seem to like vacationing in Arkansas quite a bit even though they have no ties to the state (my friend is from N. LA like myself).
